Unlimited welcome plan -- $30/line
unlimited plus plan -- $45/line
unlimited ultimate plan -- $55/line
There's not much difference between the plans -- you get hotspot on the two higher plans, but you could also just add hotspot to the lowest plan for $10/month (and only do it for the months where you need it).
You get the $830 only if you do at least the "Plus" plan, and $1000 with the "ultimate" plan, so basically you're mostly paying for the phone by having to buy a more expensive plan.
That's literally the top 3 things people notice in their phones.

I'm referring to the 2 lines max part.
For me, I would need to spend $20 more a month coming from Play More Unlimited. So they give me $830 over 36 months while charging me $720 more over that same time period. That makes this deal worth $110 over 36 months in my case, not considering the shop card which covers the activation and perhaps my time dealing with the kiosk, though I'm being generous considering past kiosk experiences.
Again, your case may be different but watch out for those new plans which really do not offer much more over the iPhone 12 era plans.

Did you purchase the new line in Costco via the Verizon kiosk with a rep?
Did you later go to the verizon website to finish the trade in?
I am a verizon postpaid customer. I logged into verizon trade in website to check trade in value of a iPhone 7plus without actually upgrading any line. The trade in website indicated iPhone 7 Plus is not eligible for trade in.
I didn't use Bestbuy or Costco for the reason above. Verizon gave me $830 for a worthless phone
