the Verizon agent I spoke with said he had absolutely way to check this promo nor any connection with Costco and to call Costco directly Lol
I don't need any of that nonsense. I plan to use a phone for over 3 years... I just don't see the extra benefits a $1,000 phone brings vs the ones under $400.
and the biggest problem with some of these so-called deals is the contract you're stuck with... it's the monthly mobile service bills that's killing you. I'm perfectly fine paying my $18 monthly bill... most of them charge less than $30 a month and you get unlimited data. anything more than $40 a month for data is highway robbery.

Opened a new line with a new phone number. Bought the iPhone 14 on a payment plan which will bill me about $20/month over 36 months. Under this promotion, Verizon gives a monthly credit of about $20/month for 36 months so it zeroes out the phone payment on the bill.
I pay only the monthly plan cost for the newly added Unlimited Welcome plan plus about $40 sales tax on the phone.
No trade in is involved. Costco will email me a $250 gift card.

There is another $300 promotion in my account for adding a new line with a new device, so I got total $1130 credit by 36 months. Total cost for two Unlimited Plus lines is about $80/mo including tax and fees (about $10/line). Got the phone and activated today. Everything was done online and I think it's better experience than spending/wasting time at Costco.
Makes zero sense to keep the old plan unless you're strapping a heatsink to your phone and hotspotting a server. But my 400mbps xfinity plan is $42/mo which you'd save by moving to a new $40/mo unlimited Verizon plan.
