This number reroutes back to Verizon where the reps have no clue about this promo
Yeah, that's the issue and why it's in-store. Maybe now they're up to speed? Not sure. But I have a costco less than 3 miles from me so it's easy to just go in.

Alright Fellows, I talked to the Costco Verizon sales rep yesterday and ran many hypothetical scenarios since i have 7 lines* coming from T-Mobile:

- The $250 Costco cash card is PER LINE. from the terms it seems it'll get issued after 90 days of service, unlike the 3 year bill credits. You will only get this if you GET A NEW PHONE from Verizon. Not BYOD (Bring your own device).

- There are 3 tier Verizon plans:

Lower tier: Unlimited Welcome: ($27 + ~$5.5 fees = $32.5/month).

This one only qualifies for:

BYOD: $180 / 36 months (NO $250 costco card)
$415 off trade in on iphone 15, or a FREE iphone 14 phone. ($730 bill credit over 36 months)
YES you should be getting new phone with Verizon since you'll be getting $250 + $730

Mid tier: Unlimited Plus: ($42 + ~$7.5 fees = $49.5/month).

BYOD = $540 / 36 months (NO COSTCO $250 card)
$830 off any iphone 15 series, 36 months bill credit
FREE iphone 14 or 14 Plus, 36 months bill credit

Highest Tier: Unlimited Ultimate ($52 a month, + ~$8.5 fee, = $60.5 / month)
BYOD = $540 / 36 months (NO COSTCO $250 card)
$1000 off any iphone 15 series, 36 months bill credit
FREE iphone 14 or 14 Plus, 36 months bill credit

The breakeven point between Unlimited Ultimate and Unlimited Plus is around 18 months in ($170).

Verizon will take any iphone 3 or above phones, as long as it turns on. Even with a cracked screen. They just want to verify the IMEI is not stolen or compromised. The rep has a list of phones but he said he can't share or he'll get fired. But the list clearly states iphone 3 or above. I didn't check the Samsung / Google list because i'm unfamiliar with their phones, but it should be pretty similar.
So you can get iPhone 14 plus with welcome plan and still get $250 per line?

Can someone please help a gal out with deciphering all the info? This deal might work for my scenario but maybe I'm overlooking something?

I NEED a new iPhone. I currently have an 8 on its last legs. I keep phones forever until they die.
I currently have Verizon, single line for $52.20++ mo.

The new plan looks like it will be similar pricing. And since I keep my phone forever, the 3 year commitment seems like a non issue?

Thoughts? Thank you!

Thank you for sharing. Is eBay iPhone 5 look good to trade in. If so please share eBay link.
Search iPhone 5. As long as condition good, clean. Should be good. Price should be around $30.
Once you get it check the IMEI at http://imeicheck.com/
To make sure it is not cloud locked, and check that it's not black listed.
If good, then it's good.

Nightmare experience at Costco Commack, NY. Over 2.5 hours last night dealing with the rep who was either untrained or experiencing a glitch with the Verizon setup system. The issue was I was moving 3 lines from TMO and adding one new line. 2 of the ported lines from TMO were getting iPhone 15's, one BYOD port from TMO and one new line BYOD. The BYOD from TMO or the BYOD new line was preventing the system from finalizing the order. He kept telling me one of the BYOD phones was locked which wasn't true. The guy tried calling VZW support and got some dopey overseas rep who wasted another 30 minutes. I finally suggested that he do the 2 BYODs order first and sure enough that went through. Today, he went back and did the iPhone 15 ports from TMO and it took. OVER 3 HOURS including today. Just an awful experience.

Beware if you have a use case like mine.

Anyone able to trade in Iphone 8 or less. Trying to do online order on verizon. I am current Verizon customer, looking to upgrade. Lowest I could do for trade in was Iphone 8. I wonder if any phone is for new customers only.

I am not a new customer but I traded in iPhone 4 online adding a new line ($830 for unlimited plus plan).
