Oh so you saying I will still get $1000 ( 210+790 ). I did saw mkt value as $210 and promotional value as $790 on the receipt.

If IMEI is input wrong then it should have flagged that not a valid IMEI.

Apparently the one in their system is also a legitimate IMEI. No idea what it is but is there a way to correct?

You should have got an email about the trade in which will show the IMEI they used with phone description

Any one knows how the number porting worked for VZW. They do assign a new number which can be used once you power on the phone.
Costco rep told me I have to come back to store to finish porting my numbers. Is that sound correct. I thought porting can be completed at home .

You can do afterwards, but you can also do it in store towards the end instead of assigning new numbers. I did this with TMobile and it canceled my TMobile lines automatically and loaded itself up on new phone during set up process. Super easy.
