Leave T-Mobile now. They are a haven for scammers to perform sim swaps abd steal your money due to their lax security measures. I've lost 200k+ because of TMobile

it has ZERO details about any trade-i or phone offers.
Pick up the phone and call. You were complaining about having to go to a Kiosk to understand the deals, you can call the number on the page. Which has also been mentioned in this very discussion thread, multiple folks called that number and got a rep to discuss.

p.s. The deal provided by costco is listed, the deals provided by T-Mobile are not.

You are not wrong. But I cranked up my security by changing old password to lengthy one encrypted behind apples password manager and use Authenticator 2FA wherever possible.

1.) If I had tmobile 10 months back and I am currently not on tmobile would i be eligible for this deal?

2.) is this a slickdeal only if you cancel after 4/5 months? (so basically get $400 in giftcards plus AAA membership for 1 year in exchange for paying $75 per month)

3.)do these new plans qualify for employer discounts?

I might be crazy, but my Magenta Military (well, technically my dad's), is $30 a line for four lines. It says Go5g would be the exact same price, but with more hotspot data and he video streaming. What am I missing here? Unless the military plans are discounted at different rates which seems weird but I guess could make sense.
Military and first responder plans are cheaper when compared to regular plans. I recall when switching from TMobile One to Magenta it was about $10-$20 price increase. Now, to go to Go5g base price for two lines you would have to pay $150. Tmobile One without any perks like insider codes etc starting price was $120 for 2 lines. All in all from One to Go5g it is $30 increase in monthly cost.

Can you explain why? I have a legacy, and would sincerely like to know the differences.
For example. I am on a grandfathered Simple Choice Family Unlimited plan for $50 (first line), $30 (second), $10 (each additional up to 6 more). I have 4 phones.

Monthly is $140 all in. Forever.

To "upgrade" to Go5G is $80 more per month. Paying $960 more per year just for the changed plan, in order to get a phone at a one-time discount is unbelievably foolish.

QUESTION: I'm happy with Visible's $45/month plan, but would love a new iPhone and yes, I'm a Costco member.

From my admittedly brief review, it seems that the $105*/month upgrade-every-year plan with T-Mobile would cost me more money than just staying on Visible, selling my current iPhone and buying a new one.

- Sell iPhone 13 Pro on Swappa: $650
- Buy new iPhone 15 Pro: $1050 with tax

Visible: 45*12 + $400 = $940 for the year
T-Mobile: $105*12 + 1/2 of $1050** - $400 promo: $1385

Are my calculations right here?

Thanks much in advance for your insights!

* Plan is $100 with autopay, but I wanna put the charge on my credit card to get free cell phone protection

** My understanding is that one has to make phone payments for about 6 months before one can trade in for a new phone, right?
I think you need to pay half of phone cost to upgrade. Your math only factor for year 1. What is cost for year 2.,3… with and without upgrade. For 100% upgrade yearly?

People need to factor in long term not just one year.

Could not agree more. Price increases on these new plans are almost double for the same number of lines
This is not always true. All the free line promos carry over with the switch. You'd probably lose out on kickbacks.

it will definitely increase regardless, but some may see it justifiable depending on their current plan/promos. I hate Tmobile but I cant get rid of them lol.

Basic Magenta Military 4 lines is $100 if autopay with the recommended payment method, eg via checking account. Recently, Tmo started charging extra $5 per line for credit card autopay. You may need to check your payment method.

Basic Go5g Military is $120 IF using recommended autopay payment method....

Summary 4 lines: Basic Go5g Military is $20 more per month compared to Basic Magenta Military if autopay using same payment method.

There are some differences between Magenta Max (Amplified plan) and the Go5G plus:
Pros:
1. Trade-in offer is higher in Go5G (1000 vs 650)

Cons:
1. Higher plan cost per monthly, roughly $30 more for 6 lines compared to MAX
2. Only eligible for upgrade every 2 years (Max allows upgrade when we pay off the balance)
3. For the $350 more trade-in value, you will pay $720 in 24 months for the plan cost (Worth it only when you trade in at least couple of phones to get the $1000)

I did in this post my original post:

https://slickdeals.net/f/16940941-t-mobile-costco-kiosks-get-up-to-400-when-you-activate-with-a-go5g-plus-plan?p=165988303#post165988303

Admittedly it was late at night and i wrote i have magenta max a few lines down from where I wrote about the 3 lines for 2 promo etc.

So yeah I have magenta max - 3 lines for 2 promo, with friends and family code applied, auto pay and the line credit adjustment. netflix, apple tv all that thrown in 96 a month for 3 lines.

Appreciate the link for the reddit threads - the 2nd one seems closer to my situation.
What is friends and family code? Do you mean insider code?

It is definitely not worth the switch to Go5G Plus. I will stay with my One plan. It's so much better on pricing. Apple Store has a better trade-in price

Go5G Plus is 55 more and Go5G Next is twice for my Current One Plan. I pay $124.50 for 4 lines and two of them have low data kick back so I just usually pay $104.5 a month. As much as I want to get the new iPhone on discount, the new plans are just too big of a jump to justify the upgrade discount.
