As far as the comment below from whodiini: I did have a problem with the vinyl peeling and flaking while the leather did not

Should be fine. I have a couch and loveseat with sides and back vinyl match and those lasted longer than the leather.

Seems to be the case for most affordable leather sofas. Have a similar leather/vinyl sofa from costco and it's going strong after 3 years of daily use, can't tell difference between materials.

vinyl came a long way and is often durable but there is no rating system and you will never know how long those synthetic material will last. but compared to leather there is no comparison and this is why always get leather

I purchased almost a $4K leather sectional set just to find out the arms and the back area was leather. It has been 7 years now. The sides and back are all bonded leather. Now it has started to peel and flake all around making it look ugly as hell. Why would the companies go with this method when they know down the road they are going to have this condition and the customers will just not buy anymore from the store. My future sofa will be a fabric one too.

We had the couch and loveseat. After a few months we returned them. Quality was generally good. The leather finish is nowhere near as nice as another set we have made by Flexsteel. Just know that if you have both, when reclined and foot rest is out, that takes up a lot of room. Not more than any other similar set, but just know. We started having issues with the electric reclining, that's why they were returned. Comfort was good...adjustable headrest is great.

Just wondering how well do the seat cushions stand up for daily use? I have bought some cheap sofa sets (not sure if leather or vinyl but no peeling) and the foam sags badly after maybe 7 years. Is that normal? I was thinking maybe I should get a more expensive one, so the seat may be more durable and stays firm longer?

Always remember...a RECLINER is never 100 leather. It would always have matching vinyl over parts that have to flex. A still sofa can have all leather.

Have this same couch and love seat for 3 years now. It is holding up well with a toddler at home. No reclining issues.
