Dsw.com has them cheaper (in limited selections). ~$54 with extraslick, a free bag with code freebag (requires a status with dsw), and I think there's a 15% off code active right now that'll bring it lower. Free ship with making a account.

That said, I've owned a lot of modern wolverines. They're not long term boots, expect 6 months to a year if you're a professional. A year to two years if you're a diy'er or casual boot wearer. But that's not necessarily a bad thing, not everyone wants to spend $300+ dollars on a pair of boots they're going to walk in sh*t in.

Rose Anvil cut apart Wolverines (specifically the 1000 mile model) to inspect. The 1000 mile model ($400) is definitley a step up from the Floorhand Wolverine model so just be aware.

Spoiler alert, he wasn't impressed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bARcQnehhDA

These are fine for casual use. I found them similar to Timberlands for about half the price. Mine did not hold up well aesthetically, a few direct hits on the steel toe kicking someone into place damaged the leather pretty badly, and they've gone downhill from there. That said, you need something for occasional use in the yard, these are solid

Thanks for this! Does the 15% off stack with the FREEBAG code? I have yet to receive it, usually these things are instant with text sign ups.

He wasn't impressed with the quality of the 1000 mile for $400, but he still enjoyed wearing his pair. This is $58.

I will say though, that this one is a cemented boot. The $40 one from a few days ago was goodyear welted which made it a far better deal if you were ok with the aesthetics.

What do you recommend that's worth the investment for professional use?

I been through a lot of boots, and I think the biggest thing you get out of more money put in isn't quality and durability, but more comfort. I've had 40 dollar boots from "DeWalt" aka some random boot with DeWalt label put on it, outlast 220 dollar boots from many other makers. But I could feel rocks through the sole of that cheap pair.

So if you are going to abuse them and not worried about foot and back pain, go cheap. If you suffer foot pain, might want to pay a bit more.
