Support for smooth streaming of ads.
I can't believe they still only give you 8gb of storage. And it's basically gone after 4 app installs 🤦 ♂️

Worked for me. Also had an old trade in 20% credit I hadn't used. Didn't auto apply, but chat refunded me the $10 after order.

$15 for the new 4K stick, not bad
I also had that 20% trade on my account in that did not trigger, and a few weeks or months ago I already was on a chat with them and was told that they will apply it if I contact them again after the new fire stick was delivered. I did not trust them and therefore did not even order. But now I also went on the chat and was told the same, and this time I did order while on the chat, but was told again I need to start a new chat after the order was delivered (how stupid). And now that the order was delivered I had to get to the third chat rep who finally did something (the first two apparently had technical issues and handed me over without saying bye), and despite having notes on the account I still had to look up trade in ID and order number and and all that crap. And finally I was told that she applied the 20%, which after inquiring apparently was $9.99 to my original payment method, but I have no evidence of that, there is no confirmation email at all. And when I go to the order details, I now see a refund in green of $5.45, which indicates to me that they probably did not refund $9.99 to the payment method, but instead towards the original price before that 50% discount of this upgrade promo was applied. Meaning they did $49.99*0.8*0.5 and not $49.99*0.5-$49.99*0.2 but I will not be 100 sure until that refund on my credit card actually arrives (right now, nothing even shows pending).
Very frustrating experience, almost reminds me of dealing with MetroPCS a few years ago.

I guess this hasn't been mentioned: the new "Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd gen)" has reportedly fixed tone mapping. The tone mapping didn't work correctly on the previous 4K Max, so HDR content didn't play correctly on non-HDR TVs. See:
https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/20695

There was a workaround by using a player with software tone mapping.
