Microphone? The mic is manually activated with the button and can not operate unless it is pressed. The mic is in the remote you can permanently disable it if you want to open the remote.

My Firestick is the slowest, glitchiest, most unusable piece of crap I've ever bought. Google Chromecast is much better.
