I agree with everyone that the stainless pot is superior in every way and super easy to clean. If you are using it as a pressure cooker nothing should stick anyway. If you saute and need to clean anything burned on, ust use 3M stainless scrub pads that are routinely under $3 for a 3-pack everywhere. Easy.

I have one of these, and my instant pot fails to build pressure. The rubber seal slips as it doesn't have enough friction.
The size is right and I tried the extra seal that came with my instant pot. No issues using it with the stock steel pot.
I store my rubber seal (gasket) in the freezer every now and then after cleaning it thoroughly with warm soapy water (not hot) and I don't have the same issue and we have been using the same instapot for over 6 years now….

For even tougher grime or stuck food….soak it with hot soapy water and a cup of vinegar over night and it should come right off in the morning.

If it still doesn't come off then put the same solution ( water + soap + vinegar) on stove and heat the solution combined with mild scrubbing with a pot cleaning brush and your pot should come as NEW!!!!

This would have been great a few weeks ago. When I saw the price of a replacement, I just picked up a "refurbished" (brand new) speedi from Woot for like $70 instead

I use my IPs all the time. Stews, soups, roasts, Mississippi Pot Roast especially, proofing dough, hard boiled eggs, brown or white rice, searing meat, the ceramic pot has been great! Zero issues. Don't use metal utensils and it'll be fine.
I've made most of what you've said in stainless steel and never had a problem. I'm always happy for what sticks during sauté cause when scraped with wooden spoon it releases and adds color and flavor to what I'm making.

Just made Indian Chicken Biryani and it turned out perfect. I won't be buying it to-go again.

In any case PTFE is harmless anyone stating otherwise (crap) is misinformed. Though if your concern is that poor coatings wear out over time and misuse I'll certainly grant you that.
The fact that 98% of people have PFOAs in their blood and the massive increase in cancer rates says that no, people have a very legitimate reason to be concerned. PFOAs are no longer used in non-stick coatings but that doesn't mean companies haven't moved to different formulations using a newer, yet to be banned substance.

Neither you nor I even know the formulation or ingredients used in the coating. Simply assuming that the coating on this pan is safe is insanity, you are essentially hoping blindly that a big corporation won't choose profits over customer health and use the cheapest coating possible regardless of impact to it's customers. That's a bet you are extra-ordinarily likely to loose as companies have proven time and time again that profits come first.

Stainless Steel is comprised of iron and carbon, pretty simple and well proven. If you feel that non-stick coatings aren't adverse to your health would you consent to eating 5g of Teflon shavings every meal? Completely safe according to you.

Description: "If you need to move your cooking process, the Instant ceramic cooking pot can be transferred to the oven"
Show me with no handles.

Thus is a low quality coated aluminum pot in the obsolete pattern which can't be used on the stove or induction.

No sticking with the pot-in-pot method. No burn error, no cleaning of the main pot, no wearing out of the pot.

With the Evo style with handles I will start and finish on the induction cooker or regular stove which speeds things up immensely and saves wear on the I.P heating element. I'd pay $60 more to get a complete Pro not to have to deal with the obsolete pot especially this cheap aluminum replacement

You can develop fond on the bottom of the ceramic using Sear, it just sticks less and easier to scrape up.

I thought Instant Pot filed bankruptcy in June.
They did but I don't think they have plans to cut the company down. Layoffs and restructuring debt. Supposedly sales plummeted after the COVID lockdown ended.

But this one doesn't come with the handle that's on the stainless steel, right? Looks not compatible

Genuinely curious: What type of improvements does the ceramic pot have over the stainless?

I've used the stainless for many years, but mine is getting a bit run down.
People like non-stick. Me, I prefer stainless with no carcinogens.
