Go ahead and send in whatever you want to trade in now. We haven't hit the Oct. Prime Day, much less Black Friday prices yet. This price or better will be had again. I plan to send in a device today or tomorrow just to have the discount on my account in case I can't get instant at the time I see a good deal. And if I can't find a good deal to use it on, I don't care because I'm lousy with old Amazon devices at this point.
A new quarter just started for trade-ins, fyi. When you send in a trade-in, there is a specific period it's good for. If you send it in near the end of the quarter, you just get a little time. But since a new quarter just started, any discount you get will be good until Jan. 1, 2024 - at least that's how it looks to me. Here are the terms: https://www.amazon.com/b?node=238..._is_tos_pr
They got smart. The 20% discount only comes off the sale price now, whereas for years and years, it always came off the full MSRP
There is a very easy fix for this. Rename one of the devices to respond to another wake word instead of Alexa to echo or something else like computer. Then, there is no confusion.

There is also a 20% off the sale price if you trade in an older device. And they are throwing in some additional Amazon credit.
I bought the echo dot for $5 with Amazon music deal a while back. They are giving me back $5 + 20% off new device which is a great deal!

How fast do you get the coupon code? I have an old fire tablet I can trade in

Are they giving you instant 20% off or after sending in the device and they examine it? I can't get it to do instant, and pretty sure by the time they receive it the sale would be over.

Do you see how to do the trade in if you're getting the bundle? People had said Amazon put a stop to allowing that, and I don't see a way to do it.

The 20% off is instant. The $5 credit is also instant. It says I have till Nov 16, 2023 to send in the device. They'll send in a shipping label to pack the device in.

As I see now, you first pick your trade in device and submit/agree to send in your device. And after that you add your device/bundle to the cart. I'm still deciding what to buy, so I haven't completed the purchase. I'll report back once I find out.

Thank you, that would be great to know. Also, please let us know if it's doing the glitch where you get the discount off the full price of the item rather than the sale price - that is fantastic when that happens!

lol that happened to me during the previous prime day sale where I got discount on the full price. Ended up paying $125 for the doorbell which goes for $250!

Just did the trade in process. You get the credit and coupon instantly, but the coupon is not working for the hue/echo 5 combo.
