Sony would include a 5yr warranty in the price, too.

Here is another review comparing the x90l to its tcl and hisense counterparts
Some of us here on SD got a80j 77 refurbs for 1350 or so ea. Woot has them currently for 1900.
To get a deal like that from secondipity you have to watch for their 20 or 30% off everything sales that happen a few times a year, catch it at just the right time.

from the review
" The Sony has the edge in response time, upscaling, and HDR gradient handling, although the Hisense also has good image processing. However, the Sony is the more stable TV overall, as the Hisense is a bit buggy."
Let me also say that I own the U8H( predeccesor to the "K")
People here on slick deals were saying it was as a good as the Samsung QN90a for hundreds less
As a person who owns both of them its not. These Chinese TV's can obtain some great black levels and brightness but they cant quite get the picture processing down of an upper Sony or Samsung product
Depending on how picky you are with picture processing/fine detail I could certainly see someone favoring a Sony/Samsung

Additional info from the Rtings review that you didn't mention:
"The Hisense U8K is better than the Sony X90L/X90CL. The Hisense is brighter than the Sony with much better reflection handling, so it LOOKS BETTER IN A BRIGHT ROOM. It also has better contrast, black uniformity, and local dimming feature, so the Hisense LOOKS BETTER IN A DARK ROOM."
The U8K and U7K are also much better than their predecessor's for image processing. For LCD/LED panels per Rtings ratings... they rank second to Sony when combining low bit rate content smoothing and low resolution content upscaling.
Due to the fact that I value picture processing and lack of bugginess quite a bit

Depending on my budget ..if I could afford more I would buy the next Sony up..or check out clearance deals on a Samsung QN90B
