You're connecting the rewards points, not 'giving them access to' your account.

Anyway you can/should remove it after.

Thanks OP. Worked on both the wife and my own accounts with our two separate Citi cards. Strange thing on the one account was it let me use the $15 discount with card selected as payment but remaining balance of $1.25 was deducted from my gift card balance - didn't even have to use the card. Got 20 oz of sesame seeds, 5 oz of oregano leaves, and Xbox Bayonetta/Vanquish 10th Anniversary game for $5 out the door.

Also, I did this deal last time on the one card and just deleted the card off the account maybe 2 weeks ago.

After you tested at checkout to see if the promo works do you guys buy something right way or wait until you have something that you need to buy?

I'm eligible for the promo and tested it at check out. I'm not sure what to buy so I want to hold off until I need something before the exp date in December. Is that ok ?

Fine print reads - limited to 40,000 redemptions. Might not want to wait too long on this.
