I know this comment is getting TDed hard by the Wyze fan club, but it's a good caveat to be aware of.
I like Wyze mostly. I use Wyze daily.
...but I don't trust the company. They bury flaws and never admit to it, definitely don't remedy.
Exs
1, as mentioned. The V1 security flaw. Never fixed. Just released newer versions
2. Original sensor kit- if the battery in the sensor died fully , they bricked themselves. Again never acknowledged or warrantied...just put out a newer version
3. Wyze robot vacuum has many reports of damaging floors. No official response as of yet that I know of.
It's cheap stuff that works mostly. But the company is not high integrity in my book.
Do be fair about (2) - they sent me a warranty replacement for 9 (out of 10) dead v1 sensors, guess what... the same v1 version. I dumped them all, unpacked.
But, v3 cameras with reflashed RTSP firmware was/is worth the price to try. They randomly lose their wifi connection and need to be power-cycled to reconnect.
No you do not. They only offer "buy with prime" on certain items. In this case, only on the white 1 pack. Select that one and look all the way down for the light blue "buy with prime" bar.
Can you access the footage on the SD cards remotely or do you have to take out the card to view?
I can access remotely from their app on my phone. There is a sliding bar I can move and I can slide it and stop at a certain time. I can see footage in fast mode as I slide it so when I see something in the video I can stop and back up a bit from there to start watching.
Non-secure garbage, from a garbage manufacturer that took years to disclose security issues with their cameras. Plenty of better, and affordable options out there, including reasonably priced options that allow for end-to-end encryption.

then use a guest wifi network/SSID and dedicated password for your cameras. I know there are other risks but PLEASE do let us know if there's a case where hackers gained access to your local network and got to your other devices/computers.
Just a reminder that these are not eligible for the free Cam Plus Lite cloud clip storage.
Such a good point; where were you when I purchased 2 of the OGs to warn me? lol/joke For the best value you want the WYZE Cam v3 as it has free Cam Plus Lite.
The best use for the OGs I've found so far is by using TinyCAM Pro[amazon.com] to get free 24/7 streaming via an old Amazon Firestick or Tablet or by using Wyze Bridge[github.com] to make the OGs compatible with NVRs via RTSP.
They randomly lose their wifi connection and need to be power-cycled to reconnect.
Do you have the cameras plugged into a built-in USB power jack from a powerstrip, TV, lamp ect?
In my experience you want to use the power adapter that came with the camera as you might get some funky issues if you don't. I know once I used the official power plugs, Wyze cameras became more stable/reliable. Not having a hidden SSID on your wifi might help as well...
