I wish there was a way to fix the notification time. I have 2 and they both have completely different wacky times for the notification - but in the app itself the time stamp on the videos is correct. Their support dept seems non existent

Just got one. Color night vision only works with the spot light on? It's in a dark room right now so maybe outside with a little light it would be color but even when the light comes on in the room it still stays black and white.
Non-secure garbage, from a garbage manufacturer that took years to disclose security issues with their cameras. Plenty of better, and affordable options out there, including reasonably priced options that allow for end-to-end encryption.
I know this comment is getting TDed hard by the Wyze fan club, but it's a good caveat to be aware of.
I like Wyze mostly. I use Wyze daily.
...but I don't trust the company. They bury flaws and never admit to it, definitely don't remedy.
Exs
1, as mentioned. The V1 security flaw. Never fixed. Just released newer versions
2. Original sensor kit- if the battery in the sensor died fully , they bricked themselves. Again never acknowledged or warrantied...just put out a newer version
3. Wyze robot vacuum has many reports of damaging floors. No official response as of yet that I know of.
It's cheap stuff that works mostly. But the company is not high integrity in my book.
What camera current offer FREE LOCAL STORAGE like SD cards? My YiCams set up is getting annoying with all the push to cloud nags.
This one has local storage, but unlike the older wyze cam, this one you have to wait 5 minutes before you can view what's stored on the sd card unless you subscribe
in for one at 17.99
Confusing naming used by wyze on this one, OG usually means "the original", but they chose to use that on this newest version (v4?)
Doorbell has no SD card slot, so you're limited to clip every 5 minutes unless you pay subscription.
Outdoor/wireless ones have an SD card but won't do continuous local recording I don't think (or at least I never got it to work)
You're right about the doorbell. I was referring to the regular cams having SD slots. My visitors trigger a perimeter alarm before they make it to my door lol. However my v3 (including those attached to floodlights, og, and telephoto cam all record continuously.

Well said. I don't trust the company at all but I use their products because they do the job and are cheap, especially when you snag them on deals.
I have found Wyze customer service to be worthless. If you purchase many of their cams you will get some defective. I just return to store and let them know it's defective instead of going in circles with their copy/paste resolutions.

I love my OG's Bluetooth setup, built-in light, better night vision than the V3, at almost half the price, been using over 10 of them outside my house ever since It came out and had no problems at all, there's 10 cameras cost me less than $200, I get notified of people pets I never knew I had so many deer in the back of my yard, And I found out what neighbor's dog was taking a dump on my lawn. These are the best bang for the buck.

Weird, do any of those articles allege or prove that HomeKit video wasn't encrypted?
