30 is the right number, their response when I called them on this previously is "I guess we just haven't updated that section yet." Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
Thanks, I figured but it's not inspiring confidence to get to 20GB and then find out I've got dial up for the rest of the month.

My phones are on the FedEx truck out for delivery. I went into my account and already successfully activated both phones and got my 2 new numbers.

*the $29.99 plan says 30GB of high speed before you sign up and then it shows 20GB of high speed in my account once I activated the lines*

*the $39.99 plan says 50GB of high speed before you sign up and then it shows the upgrade would be to 30GB of high speed in my account once I activated the lines*

How did you do this? When I go on to activate, it tells me to turn on my new phone to activate.

Did you try a different SIM to see if it's already unlocked?

Mine arrived and put Tmo sim in from the get go. Didn't work. Phone had message about contacting Spectrum to get it unlocked, so at least for me, not unlocked out of the box.

Every phone sold by Spectrum is locked to Spectrum. I've purchased total of 7 phones from Spectrum this year, they were all locked to Spectrum service only. I've tried with other carrier sims but never worked unless you call them to unlock the phone.
The phone can be unlocked as long as it is paid in full and your plan with Spectrum is more than 67days. However, every time you contact Spectrum, they will always tell you that the phone should be with Spectrum for at least 60 days to unlock. This is not true and you can read it from their unlock policy. I believe this used to be the 60 days policy before. But not anymore. So If you really want to get your phone unlocked right away, then you have to go thru the hassle to talk to a customer rep or even a supervisor if they bring up the 60 days rule.
Once you successfully unlock your phone, then you can simply pop in any carrier's sim card in. If you want to get rid of the Spectrum Log boot-up screen then there is a way to do that, you can search it up on Reddit.
To me, Spectrum always has the best discounted phone price and the trade-in value. except the new Iphone 15 models. lol.

No, it's locked. I also tried to insert the spectrum sim card coming with the package, it can't be activated. Have to call, but the waiting time is short.

Got shot down twice for unlock. First group transferred me to another group and both held firm on the 60/67 days.
