As others mentioned, the process is long, at least 30-40 minutes.
I'm not a true SDer and interesting in squeezing every penny from every deal. So I decided to help out the employee--who was happy to help every step of the way--by purchasing the Plus membership in the same transaction so he got credit. Still a good deal if you want the phone. For me, the face unlock alone is worth the upgrade.
This way, I get the pixel 8 pro + pixel watch 2 for $80. I'm hoping to get $1k between them, $750 for pixel 8p, $250 for the watch. Worst case I'm thinking I'll get $800 ($600 for phone, $200 for watch). I'm taking a bit of a risk that I can get the higher side of of that. Either way, that's a better valuation than the $580 trade value through apple. Local value for my iPhone is between $600-$650. We'll see if the risk is worth it. I also like that the trade in is in person with Best Buy.

P8p vs s23u
The p8p has a pause/stutter at certain points in the video vs the s23u. It happened multiple times.
Ultra has better colors, bu the p8p has better speakers.
