Although the Best Buy product listing reads "Save up to $1,140.00 when you trade in a similar device [archive.ph]" (screenshot [archive.org]), there is currently no trade-in value that high. When I collected the data from all 2816 eligible trade-in SKUs, the highest trade-in value was $950.00.

Rep did trade-in and purchase all in one transaction. I just had to sign once for 2 trade ins. I didn't follow the long instructions since xr was running into issues. Not sure if that was part of how it worked.
Dumb question how do you even get them to take 2 trades two Bestbuy even refused that so was not sure how to even get them to try or if deal would work and they even told me at one Bestbuy they don't have unlocked only Verizon or AT&T

Does Bestbuy evaluate the trade in phone on-site and you get the discount at time of purchase? I have an eligible phone that looks like its in great condition but won't pass a mail in inspection, no signs of water damage but the phone has got issues and I can get it to stay on for a little while.

Here is my experience trying to do a Two phone Trade in for the P8P
I did this Friday night
In addition to what others have posted, here is my experience & responses that may be helpful for others
I Had placed an order for P8P with a P7P for $589 from last years Mint Mobile deal (https://slickdeals.net/f/16103269-google-pixel-7-pro-bundle-499-at-mint-mobile) ( data was later bumped to 5GB on this plan that I used as ahotspot in my car for streaming music/maps on a Google account that is separate from my personal one - yes Scroogle !!!!! lol ) as trade in
  • Right off the bat, BBY Manager said, we dont allow 2 trade ins
    • I talked to corporate and they said BBY allows upto 3 trade ins per purchase - they said we can try but it may not work
  • They told me My Online order that I placed for P8P was already locked in to 1 trade in
    • I asked CSR to reserve that order and pretend I am not there to pick it up, and try 2 trade in with an entirely separate P8P phone as a new transaction
  • I did not want to risk my already placed order
    • I asked CSR to do the trade in for each device first. I reminded them that BBY Corp asked me to tell them to use the code google for each trade in.
  • CSR again said they were not sure if they should do 2 Trade in because of (and I heard the dreaded words) double dipping.
    • I calmly said, the corporate was OK with upto 3 trade ins but I understood their predicament, and if they are willing to try, I would really appreciate it. (made small talk during the periods of silence) and gently mentioned that if it was not allowed, the BBY the system should not allow it anyway - so there was not harm in trying.
    • They agreed
  • First Trade in was my old P7P, that I really wanted to offload as BBY TIV was very similar to swappa ( with even lesser in hand $$ due to swappa fee & Shipping fee)
    • I had them do this first.
    • I reminded them to use the coupon code google many times but gently
    • It gave a TIV + Coupon code CpC
    • I Signed + DL data was input in their system
    • The TIV was put on a GC and the CpC was printed.
  • My Second Trade in was a iPhone SE3Gen that I purchased from WM minutes ago.
    • I made sure it had charge
    • I tried to help by Showing the BBY CSR the IMEI from bottom corner and reading it out so they could type.
    • This seemed to putt in the serial # as well.
    • They placed in in the system
  • First hiccup:
    • BBY CSR said this phone was not in their system.
    • I asked what color they had put in, they said Gray or Black - I Cannot remember
    • I apprised them that with SE3, Apple changed it to Midnight, so pls use that.
    • After this SE3 showed up :-)
  • This is where the worst part happened, BBY CSR told me the 'systems is not accepting the second trade in'
    • "See I Told you it wont accept a second trade in, and our manager said the same"
    • Well, I know you both said that, but corporate told me they allow upto 3 and some of (SD) friends have done it, I Said this as the apply/enter button, (I forget which one) was grayed out which was not before they entered the 2nd trade in, May be some important information in the form is missing. I checked, everything seemed to be in order, IMEIs, Cpn codes, names of Trade in devices
    • The entire screen was dim, ( similar to when you push buy for airline ticket and before the next purchased screen comes over) and after a long wait (must have been at least 2 mins) - it accepted it.
    • Now It gave a TIV + Coupon code CpC
    • I Signed + DL data was input in their system
    • The TIV was put on a GC and the CpC was printed.
  • BBY CSR put both TIVs on single physical GC
  • CSR Scanned P8P + PW2
    • there were no more white color P8P left, so I had to settle in for a black color, which I Was not excited about
    • I asked if I should cancel my online order so that BBY CSR can sell me the now "returned" white P8P
    • CSR advised me not to risk it, "just in case the total after TIV + CpC" from both phones did not go through as I wanted
  • After this, I Had them test out the P8P and see if the P2W would ring up as free like a regular promotion
    • BBY CSR did not think it would, but was surprised when it did
  • This is how the math worked out
    • P8P Phone scanned for $999
    • PW2 added, rang up as $0
    • Applied GC of $ 460 (160 TIV for iPhone SE3 + 300 TIV for P7P) - they had to swipe this
    • Amt to be paid was $539
    • The payment screen showed $ 583.xx due after Taxes calculated on $539
    • CSR Applied the $ 550 CpCodes (300 for iPhone SE3 + 250 CpC for P7P) , these were scanned from the two bar codes generated & printed earlier
    • I Paid about $ 33.xx

Glad I did this in store - as I do not have to worry about any refunds, the TIV was on a GC that I already used

As I walked out of the store, I canceled my online order for White P8P

Thank you to everyone who helped out here and most to the patient CSR at BBY

I May get another regular P7 + buds from another iPSE3 from Wally - to further defray the cost

definitely separate fresh new order, per my conversation with BBY CSR
they could not modify my prior online order or even use the P8P that was assigned to that order - I wanted to get that one as they had no other white color P8Ps in store.
