Massively agree. We got the non-AI version in 2020, from BBuy. 6 Geek Squad visit, 3 door-lock mechanisms, 1 door replacement, 1 motherboard replacement, and they finally just lemon'd it and gave us a credit for a new one.

Our gas dryer, same series, has had the moisture sensors replaced, and more recently the motherboard replaced, and still can't dry for s#!t. We have Geek Squad coming back out hoping that they lemon it too.

Repair guy even told us that they *hate* Samsung appliances. We got this one and absolutely love it.

After a bum fridge, washer and dryer I will never buy a Samsung appliance ever again. Have had to have each repaired multiple times. The models I bought had good reviews at the time I bought them but they quickly broke down and Samsung's customer service is pathetic.

Bought almost similar ones from Costco in June 21 for $1800. WF50A8600AV | DVE50A8600V. They were good so far. These machines have some bells and whistles that normally people won't care about. But the price seems to be very good.

Everyone says Samsung appliances are terrible. I'm about to replace my 10 year old washer that have me no problems
Have the bespoke washer dryer just over 1 year and works like a charm, and quiet. Far more energy efficient than my old set for 20 years ago, of course

Are these ones better then the Bespoke series? Those are frequently on sale on the Samsung. I was planning on getting it during black friday. Pretty cheap with the EDU discount.

Edit: bah washer is gone, guess black friday bespokes for me. Anyone know what sort of discount we can expect?

That USED to be true. Since those horrible recalls, failures, and parts issues, Samsung has tried hard to resurrect its name in the appliance industry. If I'm not mistaken, they ranked #2 behind LG last year.
Front loaders only but I believe them and lg make decent front loaders.

If you go to top loaders they are terrible mine last 3 years. The mobo and touch were completely fried.

I've had my Samsung washer and dryer for 7 years and I only had to replace the heating element once in the dryer and that was last year. A cheap part from Amazon..$35
We got our Samsung washer & dryer set in January 2011. Replaced the washer door seal a few years back. Probably replaced the dryer heating element 3 times (the original lasted a lot longer than the replacement parts). Probably getting towards appliance EOL, so I'm tempted by this deal. I recognize that our experiences probably fall under "survivor bias", but they're still data points…

Why not get a speed queen for that price

This just isn't true. They had issues, but they have lots of really good washers and dryers these days. I've had a set I bought few years ago and it's been great! Reliability ranking has also improved significantly. Things change.

My Samsung front load washer has given me zero issues and is still going strong after over ten years.

Dryer would still be going strong as well if I wouldn't have stuffed a king comforter in it the beginning of the year 🥴

Am I the only one confused by the tittle of the post. I'm guessing the washer and dryer are each $599 so dumb

Had a Samsung front load and dryer set from 2008. They lasted 10-12 years. Dryer control board went out. Washer Spider Arm broke. I love to save money and fix things....but the parts and labor made no financial sense. Bought a new very basic Armana top load and used old school Whirlpool dryer and I think this makes more sense for me now.

Yip, my parents actually just had their Samsung washer leak and had to replace the hardwood floor in their laundry room.

I went down the rabbit hole recently for finding decent appliances and these side loaders were supposedly good, with of course speed queen the most reliable.
Speed Queen FF7:
LG WM3400CW:
LG WM6700HBA
Miele WXD160WCS:
Bosch WAT28400UC:
GE PFW950SPTDS:

From my searching people who work on these appliances say avoid samsung. And while apparently LG washers can be decent/good, not there fridges, with somewhat recent models have failing compressors
