Federally funded, AI-connected, spyware device. The cameras record all the time, and beam all that data back to Tesla, for them to do with as they like.

"the cons are: rough ride, noisy, tire wear, and low battery if you go longer distance than 3 hours. all I can think of."

Your electricity still comes from fossil fuel power plants, batteries are extremely expensive to replace, extra heavy weight does more damage to our infrastructure and releases more toxic tire dust while driving, battery + salt may equal huge fire that could burn down your house if in garage and will take 10k-20k gallons of water to extinguish, not good for the economy there. Also takes longer to charge than pumping gas for 4 minutes.
I won't blame you for all these misinformation (or what they call FUDS). Stop reading the media bashing and go do some real research for yourself. You'll find none of these are true (some could be true years ago but not any more with current tech). You can't pump gas at home! but takes 10 seconds to plug it in every few days.

You hit on the nail with all the points. I have a model y and my wife loves it so much she bought herself a model 3. Only thing I had a bad experience was when I had flat tire on a long distance drive and it was at night. So I had to uber another 100 miles to get to my destination and uber come back and pick up my car at the repair. It cost me $400 just to change out the tire at tesla. Also my window had a glitch and rolled down after I park. Car was broken into but luckily nothing stolen or damaged.

Other than that I love the car still. Once you drive a tesla you dont go back.
Yeah I'm sad there are too much misinformation out there about Tesla that most uninformed folks believe Tesla is all bad. FUDS have been spread by people who short Tesla stock (and pro oil groups probably) for years it's hard to undo all that.
For the tires, I have roadside assistance, just replaced a model 3 flat tire at America Tire for $70 total (they match the remaining tread too). some minor/cosmetic issues are handled by placing a service ticket with the phone app (took 1 minute!) and mobile service came to my house to fix them (tire sensor)

THE COMPETITION IS COMING has been the refrain for 10 years.

Meanwhile so far this year Tesla in the US has outsold the next -19 brands combined-

The competition ain't coming. Legacy auto is incapable of making a profitable EV (and the UAW strike will only make that worse).... so they keep failing to produce compelling vehicles, and they don't produce the ones they DO sell in great numbers because the more they make the more $ they lose.

The nearest thing in the world to competition for Tesla is BYD, and they don't sell here (and have much smaller margins on the stuff they do sell in China)

Literally none of this is true of course.

Actual fleet data show even 10 year old Model S retaining near 90% of original charge after 200,000 miles.
Sorry for believing what I know about LiIon cells and not Tesla propaganda

There is already an updated model y with faster 0-60 (same price as old version RWD China Tesla, which makes it almost as sweet as the AWD version (speed wise)). I think it'll come to USA sooner or later so there is no need to buy this deal unless you really like it.

Let me introduce you to JUST ROLLED IN

https://www.youtube.com/@JustRolledIn

Watch one 5min. compilation and tell me if ICE cars are still better than EVs with the cost of ICE repairs up 25% on average since 2020. Mostly due to lack of mechanics and parts shortage.
Inflation has increased all prices by at least 25% since 2020.

The price keeps dropping, no time is the best time...
Next year it will be much cheaper when more EVs coming to US market
Hate to break it to you but EVs seem to have reached their peak. Chinese EV makers are going bankrupt. Rivian is close to being shut down. Lucid is not faring well. Market is too heavily saturated with minimal demand. Recent polls show more than 80% of people have no desire to purchase or think little of EVs. Lithium demand is also down a lot

My M3 has driven over 90% of my 80k miles w responsibility with auto pilot. Nothing compares to taking away the fatigue of driving

Just in case people weren't already aware, the $7500 tax credit just lowers your taxable income. It's not a dollar for dollar amount to be refunded at tax time. If your taxable income is $50,000 for 2023, this would lower it to $42.500 (thus lowering the amount of money you owe to the IRS).
It does not lower your taxable income.
It lowers your fed tax liability.

Which insurance company is that? I have 15 mdx and my 23 model y insurance is almost 2x. so many people online are saying Tesla insurance isn't expensive but when I really want to insure, I can't find a good price.

There's no car in the same price range that gives you the same performance
Besides, look at NHTSA data: Teslas are some of safest cars on the road. Also, look at the gas prices and how much $ you would save.
