Your electricity still comes from fossil fuel power plants, batteries are extremely expensive to replace, extra heavy weight does more damage to our infrastructure and releases more toxic tire dust while driving, battery + salt may equal huge fire that could burn down your house if in garage and will take 10k-20k gallons of water to extinguish, not good for the economy there. Also takes longer to charge than pumping gas for 4 minutes.
Other than that I love the car still. Once you drive a tesla you dont go back.
For the tires, I have roadside assistance, just replaced a model 3 flat tire at America Tire for $70 total (they match the remaining tread too). some minor/cosmetic issues are handled by placing a service ticket with the phone app (took 1 minute!) and mobile service came to my house to fix them (tire sensor)
Meanwhile so far this year Tesla in the US has outsold the next -19 brands combined-
The competition ain't coming. Legacy auto is incapable of making a profitable EV (and the UAW strike will only make that worse).... so they keep failing to produce compelling vehicles, and they don't produce the ones they DO sell in great numbers because the more they make the more $ they lose.
The nearest thing in the world to competition for Tesla is BYD, and they don't sell here (and have much smaller margins on the stuff they do sell in China)
Literally none of this is true of course.
Actual fleet data show even 10 year old Model S retaining near 90% of original charge after 200,000 miles.

Watch one 5min. compilation and tell me if ICE cars are still better than EVs with the cost of ICE repairs up 25% on average since 2020. Mostly due to lack of mechanics and parts shortage.
Next year it will be much cheaper when more EVs coming to US market
