I feel bad for people who bought this car at 66k last year. Most of their auto loans must be underwater now.
I don't feel bad for them at all. They bought at the top of the car bubble when prices were obviously and ridiculously inflated. They did the analysis and decided they were willing to pay that much for the product. Like any tech, the early adopters pay more than those who wait a couple of years.

I have a friend who bought an AWD MY at $70K+ and only blames himself, but would do it again because they needed a car and they wanted a Tesla, price be damned.

How much insurance you guys paying for Tesla cars, just curious.
$400 something for 6 months with State Farm. My 10 year old car was just under $200/6 months, so it over doubled, but I know it would have raised anyway just from buying a brand new car.

Prefer the M3 RWD with LFP battery.
Yeah, that LFP battery is the way to go, but unfortunately I need AWD where I live.

Mach-E and Ioniq 5 are both better than a Tesla.

This claim is not reflected in the sales figures.

Tesla is outselling Ford in the US roughly 12:1 on EVs, and Hyundai roughly 16:1

Hydrogen fuel cells need very small batteries and use little cobalt.
And also are a dead end nobody wants, outside of a tiny area in SoCal there's no place to fuel, and nobody is even seriously working on for cars anymore, though Toyota keeps selling a tiny tiny tiny number of em in that one pocket of Socal.

Even the Toyota engineer who designed the thing admitted it's a dumb fueling solution compared to just pure batteries.

Elon Musk is right – it's better to charge the electric car directly by plugging in

I would wait to buy until the US model 3 and Y are refreshed, which are in China. Tests have shown the newer 3 to have A LOT better road noise reduction and smoother ride with less vibrations. Those are much needed improvements to these entry-level Teslas.
Source for the noise reduction claims?

Have to TD on principle. Their price shenanigans have made my loan higher than what the car is worth new now 😄
You have to downvote the deal because it's a lower price then you previously paid for the same product? Seems like a fundamental misunderstanding of what this site is all about.

Buying any car brand new is a bad financial move, in my opinion. The price always fluctuates, and you always loose about 20% of the value as soon as you drive it off the lot. So when I need a "new" car, I look for a good deal on a 4-8 year old model with low mileage and a documented history of good maintenance. Then I maintain them well and keep them for a decade. I don't mind having an unsexy car if it means more money in my bank account, and I prefer to keep my income to myself anyway and not flaunt it to my neighbors.

But I'm still upvoting this because I recognize that not everyone else wants a 4-8 year old "soccer mom" car. If your preferences and life circumstances lead you to want a brand new Tesla, it's none of my business and this seems like it will be a slick deal for you. Feel free to send me a PM in a few years when you're feeling bored of this and want to re-sell it to a cheapskate like me.

I wonder if I should trade in my model 3 for model y. I hate all the interior noise from model 3.
Wait for the new highland model, its much much nicer, but rumor at starting price $50k

Every drive review you can find online and on YouTube. Not just subjective conclusion by a few reviewers. EVERY reviewer has noticed the difference. Some videos even show technical difference using sound level meters.

No, and neither do you- though you might be imagining some misinformation that makes you think that.
I just want to say you are my hero Applause. Stating facts when others just post a bunch of misinformation and rumors. While becoming a Tesla owner has changed my personal opinion on ICE cars. I try to at least state facts or my own personal experience while owing one.

While I can neither confirm or deny the value of this product at this price point, I can compare it to other purchases I've made. And when I can buy and actual stick built 1k sqft house on 1/3rd acre with working well and septic in move in condition for less than MSRP of this car.... Well, I can't justify theses numbers for this product. Doesn't mean I don't want one though!
