Not true. Ymmv I get more than 330. Highly dependent on climate and road conditions.
Not going to argue with you but you are 100% full of crap. Car and Driver, Edmonds, all of the them haven't been able to reproduce the 330. To say you get more than 330 is a complete joke. It's not an achievable number. Tesla's EPA mileage rating is deceptive, at best. That number should probably be closer to 300, which that in itself is almost impossible to hit driving in real world conditions.

How can you say a car that's only been available for four years last forever? Have you heard of battery degradation. In 10 years from now your batter range will be closer 200 miles if it still works. On top of this you aren't exempt from bearing replacement, tie rods, control arms and bushings. We have no idea how long these will cars will last.
I love EV's but I agree we don't know how long they will last on average. Most people will get rid of their Tesla because the HVAC, interior, and suspension will go. Just like most Mercedes and BMWs, it isn't the engine, it is everything else. Unlike most other cars, you cannot get the parts at your local auto repair shop for cheap and install it yourself. Telsa parts and body panels are still extremely expensive which will kill them from being on the road a long time. We have a few high mile examples for tesla but very small dataset that is loud and vocal. Almost any car now will do 175K with a few minor repairs. There are millions of Toyotas and Hondas that go way past 200K miles. Don't give people false hope.

I've owned mine since 12/2020. I have 41,000 miles and counting and have had not one problem. I love it and would buy another in a heart beat.
Oh absolutely. I love my car. Love all the tech behind it. But I hate the cabin noise.

Couple things need to be added, EV credit is not refundable so you don't get money back unless you owe tax money. Other thing is that insurance is about the double for any tesla.
My quote for a loaded CRV was the same for a model 3.

It should be a crime to drive anything other than a Tesla. Best car in the universe.

Any link for this?
How can Ford loses 60K per EV if the EV itself is less than 60k?

If it costs you 100k to make something, and you sell it for 40k, you lost 60k.

60k was Q1 BTW-
https://www.thestreet.com/technol...hicle-sold

They improved to only losing 32k per EV in Q2

https://www.auto123.com/en/news/f...000/70571/

Either way, not sustainable and one reason they're ramping production so pathetically slow- the faster they go the more money they lose.

Same with all the legacy car companies- hence why they make and sell so few of em-- they're systemically unable to build a profitable EV and it's why Tesla is crushing them.

Quote from cuthroat :
They can't.

Ford loses 60k per EV sold

Rivian loses 33k per EV sold

GM says they won't make money on EV's until 2025
Ford's down to 32k as I cited... but that said, GM just agreed to move their battery manufacturing under the UAW contract, so they're gonna have to move that "finally profitable on EVs" goal back a long ways.

You ask op for source in the same breath as you spouting baseless numbers. Rich.

Two different sources proving that # have been posted in just the last few pages my dude.... Teslas retain roughly 90% of original battery range at 150k miles, and roughly 88% of original range at 200k.

And that's mostly older first-gen batteries too, the newer ones are expected to last even longer.

3 and y are equivalent of chevy cruz and equinox running on tesla tablet tech and battery. If folks think it's a luxury vehicle then you are fooling yourself with tesla madness. Check lucid and Rivian for true EV luxury.

I get repairs in my driveway within 7 days or at the service center for more serious repairs, always within a few days. I get $100 in uber credit and it's a breeze. 1000% better than stealerships
Tesla body repairs take a long time. But I agree with you, except for body everything else is easy with a Tesla. They are opening service centers everywhere so more will come soon

The pre-owned EV credit is only 4k, and the max price of the car has to be $25,000 and sold by a dealer, not private sale.

Is it going to be as fun as your friends AWD BMW M3?
Yes, Model 3 Performance has about the same 0-60 acceleration at half the price,
with MUCH faster 0-30 acceleration. M3P also has a higher top speed at 162 mph vs 155 for the M3.

For me that means it's a LOT more fun. nod
I do agree with most of your points though.

Nobody knows you here - so that means nothing. I think you should stick a banner in your lawn with that information - that will show them (neighbors).

Yup, infinitely better to just order online and go pick it up, no BS "haggling" wasting time listening to nonsense, and everything done for you ahead of time! You don't even have to go to the DMV.

Unless you keep your cars for 12-15 years. Then ICE is the king. No $8,000 battery to replace
Depends on what ICE.. unless it's a Toyota or Honda, don't even bother. Also, I have a pilot, and it gives me 18 mpg. Since my wife got Model Y, my gas bill is down 80%. Idc about save the planet BS, all I care about is that I save shit load of money driving this SUV over Pilot. Y fill up costs me $13.
