As long as you have a 30" depth desk or greater, I'd recommend the 42" C2 or C3.
I had the 42" LG C2 on my desk for 3 months before buying this one. Reasonable minds can certainly differ, but I far prefer the Dell for desktop use, on a massive desk, both for productivity and gaming. As compared to the C2, the Dell is free from auto-dimming, has no input lag, and frankly, I also strongly prefer watching streaming media content on the aw3423dw because it doesn't highlight compression artifacts/noise the way the C2 does. HDR is also much more impressive on the qd-oled dell. The C2 will give you a pristine 4k image with the right content (and a lot of fiddling with settings), but personally, I've learned my lesson about trying to use a TV as a monitor.

this is a great monitor for the price but i just want to point a few things out

we are close to black friday and the price of this thing will either be $800 or less for the sale

early next year, there will be a 4k 240hz QD-OLED monitor which is rumored for $1500. yes, that is much more expensive, but such a monitor is much closer to being an endgame level monitor as even a wide 1440p 165hz monitor is really only a stopgap that can still have noticeable improvements

Appreciate your take on this. For someone that watches mostly 4k content and email, on the fence between c2 and the AW. I was on 35 inch UW IPS, I noticed movies are much sharper on the C2 with 4k content of course. Is the AW still better despite the decrease to 2k?

I have both the DW and C2. I use the C2 daily for gaming and browsing. Sometimes it still feels a little too big, but the 34" height is just too small for me. Both are great for hdr gaming. Honestly can't go wrong with either.

This stacking with $50 off $100 Amex and using 10% EPP on top will be bananas.

Not one regret on my DWF. Went from 27" IPS QHS MSI Optix to this.

3 year warranty. I don't baby it at all, it runs its own maintenance during downtime. About a year so far so good paired with a 4080.

Have you hung up your Xmas stockings yet? It would be more productive for you to log off for a month instead of writing this 100x on all products over $200.

At this point, C2 is too expensive. And I think the inventory is nearly gone.
