Thanks for the great idea to price match at Guitar Center - I did it via chat using the link from ProAudioStar listing on Reverb and picked up a new PRS for $60 more than the used one I was eyeballing recently at the local pawn shop - rep given!

The Tremonti SE is a great guitar and is even better with some upgrades. I've got 2 and both are great!

Had 2 good transactions with Pro Audio Star and just got burned on my 3rd guitar. It arrived with a broken neck so I sent it back, they've had it a week and so far no communication from them on a replacement or a refund.

I've gotten a few Squier 40ths with some minor issues. Unopened so not their fault. And they've been great every time. Follow up with them.

Just picked up an S2 594 and it's been amazing. I can't believe how much better this feels in my hands than my late 90s strat.

You mentioned you were "burned" by them. Did they not refund you?

Yep, they haven't responded to my inquiries on a replacement or refund. PAS says that returns can take 2 weeks to process a return. Guess the burn is them sending me a broken B stock guitar and now waiting to see if they'll make it right.

PAS is kinda slow when it comes to email tickets and refunds, but I think you'll be okay. If nothing happens after that time, just call them and nag about it.

Save up for a core model instead. The S2 models are assembled in the USA but all of the hardware and electronics are the same as those used on the SE models.
