Another way to look at it is you're getting a discount on the TV if you finance because money has value over time. Even if you could buy it outright, throwing that cash in a Treasury bill gets you 5% annually

Adding from the previous 77" thread…

Got 77" for 2105 before tax, including extra 10% from chat and $100 credit for tv trade in. Don't suspect it goes lower this year.

Mine arrived, but was cracked and no picture. Have to return and reorder, no replacements through Samsung.com. Also have to wait to get the price match to the reorder until after second order ships. They appear to only ship on Fridays so waiting a week for all of it. Huge pain.

It's a big discount but I probably won't order direct from Samsung again. This is the case where I may well wait until BF now and buy elsewhere.

Finance the TV at 0% and put the money in Treasuries or CD

From my experience, price match only works if the TV has yet to be picked up/delivered. Bought at $2149 and picked up my TV at Best Buy a few days prior to the $1999 price drop. Tried with 3-4 agents, but was unable to get a price match.
Update on price match, called their order support line and it sounds like they actually support price match within 7 days, even if the order was picked up. Too bad chat didn't tell me this and now I'm out of the window. However, they were kind enough to give me a $100 coupon.

Might be a crazy idea, but does anyone know if I order a second TV and pick up at Best Buy, if they would let me turn around and return that same TV as if it were the first one? I checked and this coupon does stack with the AAA discount, meaning I could now order it for $1899. Guess I could bring it home and head back the next day, but being a 77" TV, I'd need to rent a trunk both ways.

Probably not. Order numbers and serial numbers are probably linked. If you try to return and the serial number doesn't match the return will be rejected.

What an absolute nightmare this has been!

I purchased the 83" S90C version with AAA discount 10/20. Total cost was $3833, including tax. This included the 32" Frame TV, and I had the chat agent provide a code for the 2-year additional extended warranty.

The S90C arrived today 10/28, and after unboxing, we discovered the screen was damaged. I immediately called customer service, who are now saying I need to repackage and ship the TV back to them. They then plan to inspect it and "potentially refund" my purchase. They then told me I would need to repurchase this TV as they could not issue a replacement. I am apparently responsible for any price difference, and the kicker is, they're telling me the 2-year warranty only applies to the Frame TV and not the S90C.

This is some horrible customer service! I hope this isn't what others are having to go through.

You may want to escalate to a supervisor. Isn't there a 15 day return period?

I'll have to try again Monday.

I did escalate to a supervisor. Basically told me that he can't override the options that Samsung gives him. Unfortunately, it just feels like more wasted time getting this resolved.

Tried to replicate deal for dad who has a military status on account. First red flag was all prices were showing higher than listed here. Got a rep to offer only 10% discount. Code wouldn't work(second red flag). Was told either he used the code before(hasn't made a purchase in 3 years), doesn't work on military account (yet my education account i see cheaper prices), need to login/logout, etc. Basically given a bunch of run around and eventually told he's SOL.

Usually edu and epp have the lowest prices.

Hope you don't have any more issues. The panel they use on the 83-in is actually worse than the smaller panels, so I hope the TV is still really good quality.

I was trying to hold out until Black Friday deals. I went back and forth over 77 and 83 inch models from Samsung and LG. This year you have to go 77 if you want the largest model with the newest OLED tech. It was between the G3 and S90C. I currently own a C8 and have been happy with it for years!

I have LG EPP as well and can get the G3 $3150. Well I went with the S90C! I got it for $2105 with a 10% discount through chat and got another 4% through a CB site.

I'm arguing with myself between this one, and the lg C3

The 83 is a regular Oled not QD-Oled. Samsung is purchasing the 83 inch panel from LG.

Costo now has the 77" LG B3 for 1800, if don't qualify for EPP would probably be the better route.

Finally placed my order on October 19th, was told my TV (S90C 77") would arrive on Nov 2nd. I've been getting the basement all ready for it. Got an email from AGS (shipping co) this morning saying pretty much when we received your item it was damaged, we've initiated a return which will refund you for the TV, you'll have to reorder the item. Unreal.... I also ordered the Q990c soundbar which at this point I feel like just returning & maybe placing an order through Best Buy or someone else near black friday.

Just received my 77" S90CD today! Tested it right after delivery and everything seems ok!
Went with the $1999 price + 2-years of Samsung Care+.

Delivery was smoother than expected with AGS for Samsung. The estimated delivery at the time of order was 11/2, then I got a link to schedule online for 10/31. But they called yesterday and we scheduled for a 10/27 9am-1pm time window and gave me a 30 minute call in advance (very helpful). So it came in 4 days after the order date and 6 days earlier than expected.

Condition of the box was very good. They strapped it along with 2 other S90CDs to the inside of their truck that were also out for delivery.

You'll definitely want some help when unpacking as it's so big, but the box is very well designed to unpack and setup without damaging the TV. Was debating this and the LG C3, and so far I'm glad with my choice based on the picture quality. I also think it's not mentioned enough, but I feel the anti-reflective coating is done better on the S90CD than the LG C3; people say there's a pinkish hue, but you really can't tell. I'd rather not see myself in a reflection looking at the TV straight on.

Can't wait to test out G-Sync and games.
Had the same delivery date for my 77", got an email at 10 am today from AGS saying when they received my TV it was damaged so they are returning it to Samsung. I can't win....
