I used to love my Cascade powder and it does a great job cleaning. But I tried some finish pods (same as this deal) and found that it actually made my machine run quieter. More suds I think? Also with powder my machine would make a whining/squeaking sound at the end of draining cycles, which seems to go away when using finish pods. Not sure if the whining is wearing on some seal or something?
The slickest deal of all: powder detergent. $6 gets you well over 100 loads.
Plus you can sprinkle some directly in the tub for the pre-rinse part of the cycle.

Yep. and the Dollar Tree brand works just as well. I did a comparison of 3 pod brands and 4 powder brands. Best deal is powder by a long shot. (also there is a 6% failure rate of the pods not dissolving and gumming up the filter.

Finish Quantum wash tabs are game changer imo, Cascade and other generic stuff is step behind, with these tabs your glass ware will thank you. Streak free and not stains. No rinse aid needed either.

Was using tabs before.
But its much cheaper and better for the environment if we use Seventh generation dishwasher gel which is 65% biodegradable.

Avoid cascade which is only 45%

I've been using the Member's Mark pods which I think per unit are some of the cheapest out there if not the cheapest but despite them reformulating it every 2 years it still leaves bad streaking most visble on stainless steel (I move a lot and have had this problem in multiple cities with multiple modern dishwashers). I might try these even though they are a tad more expensive. But the Sam's pods clean well, it's just the residual streaking...

Bought these on the deal, just arrived today. Amazon shipped in a thin plastic bag. It smelled of chemicals as soon as I opened it. Ripped open the top and of course about 1/5 of them had burst from going through the mail system.

Started a return and they are asking me to return it before refund issued (fair enough but stupid) and are requiring me to ship it back in a BOX. Last month they shipped bleach tablets on a box with cereal which made the cereal box smell of bleach and shipped (arriving the same day) espresso coffee in a thin bag with syringes and the coffee burst and grounds were everywhere. I was told the coffee was not eligible for return.

I also received a smashed delicate electronic item a couple of months ago shipped in just a plastic bag...no bubbles. I feel like I'm going to get docked for returning stuff but the decisions regarding shipping being made at the warehouse are beyond irresponsible.

Consumer Reports and Wirecutter both agree that the Kirkland brand pods don't perform as well as some other brands. Neither do these Finish Powerball quantum ones perform all that well either.
Top performing brands were Sam's club member mark pods and Cascade pods.
The member mark pods sell for $0.12 per pod, whereas these Finish ones in this deal are $0.16 per pod.
