Just trade in Fold 3 for the Fold 5 bundle with Buds 2 Pro and Watch 6 classic . Got 15% cash back by using Paypal (Chase freedom 5%) and certain CB website (10%).
What was your price before tax? I keep getting different prices for the same items you ordered

Bought two fold 3s from that bestbuy deal and had the screen start peeling on both within a week and a half despite being babied. I'll wait until these can last at least 4 years without issues. Ended up returning both and going back to a normal S series.

And yeah I could've had the screen replaced if I mailed it in, the ifixit near here also told me they can't get it perfect when they repair the screen protector, but like "90ish percent" wasn't having that. I loved it though, was so disappointed when my fears came true.

I like the fold but this one didn't bring much new to the table to justify unloading another 700 (even with trade in). For those worries about durability, get Samsung Care or free insurance via you credit cards. I've had 2 foldable (flips) and love em.

I traded my fold 4 a month ago and got $1200 for trade in credit plus free upgrade to 512gb . Fold 5 way more durable than the fold 4 .

For those trading in the fold 3, do any of you have small micro creases down the vertical.
I was previously trading my phone in every year with Samsung, but on the Fold 4 I just didn't see the point thinking I'd wait another year. Halfway through year 2, the inner screen protector began bubbling up, which I had replaced. Then a few months later, i started noticing small micro creases in the middle. The size, appearance, and location of these creases are such that it's obvious they are not a result of something like dropping or impact to the phone. It's pretty obvious these are a result of normal use or wear from the continuous action of opening and closing the phone continuously. Since then the micro creases have slowly been getting worse.
After the Fold 2, and not having noticed issues with my Fold 3 in the first year, I had thought the big durability issues were a thing of the past. Had I known they were not, I would have reconsidered upgrading with the Fold 4, despite the changes being so iterative, or perhaps back to the main s22 lineup. By the time the Fold 5 came around, I couldn't trade in because I was worried about being rejected.
However, since then I've seen some posts saying they were able to get full trade-in value, and it seems unfair that I would be denied tradein value based on a durability issue resulting from doing the very thing it was designed and advertised to do and nothing else, Fold. I could probably make a strong argument that this is normal wear and tear, but the exact tradein requirements says no damage beyond normal wear, or cracks.
Any thoughts? Should I risk a tradein? Has everyone else with a Fold 3 since launch not had issues? I would say I've probably unfolded the device on the upper side of the average number of times, but I'm not rough with my device, have always had them cased, and have never dropped it.

I had fold 4 for about 6 months and loved it. One morning, I unfolded the phone and found the inner screen was torn in the middle from top to bottom. Did not drop the phone nor there was anything in the middle that would damage the screen upon folding. Samsung denied saying it's physical damage and there goes $1800 in drain. Upon searching on the net I found many people had this issue. Inner screen can't be fixed, you have to replace the phone.
I have the same phone and had the same problem. Sent it to Samsung and they repaired it no charge.

I love my Z Fold 3 especially approaching 50, bigger screen is essential but a Note size is too big to carry in pocket (I have them for work, so I know). Originally I bought it to try something new and collected for novelty, but turned out it's the most useful among all I have (just name a few, N93 transformer, featured in Transformer movie, with 3x optical zoom, N95 dual slider, Mi 3 back slider front lens...)
I also recommend my wife to get Flip since she likes small phone (using Galaxy 10e and she doesn't want any bigger)
Will look into this to upgrade to Fold 5
Yeah my fold 3 was out of warranty and my screen was lifting in the center. I just took it off and it works perfectly. I'm not saying to do that but it was actually fine and the inside screen seems more durable than that plastic film.

I have the Fold3 for 2 yrs now. The protective cover (started to peel off) on the foldable screen has been replaced twice by Samsung for no cost. Screen size is absolutely gorgeous if you watch lot of videos, email and browsing on your phone. Camera is not as great as Galaxy Ultra series.
How did you get it replaced no cost when Samsung wants to charge me after warranty expired 😳
