I've since also turned off Fast start so it takes a while to turn back on, but at least the apps start properly now. I'll see if I can last another month or so, but if it gets worse again then I'll get a Roku.

I'm disappointed with the remote. The buttons are very loud and clicky, which I find annoying. The Roku Ultra remote I have has fewer functions, but just feels much better. That was another reason to ditch the built-in Google TV.
It does work well with CEC on the Roku and with a Chromecast I set up. The Roku/CC remotes control volume and on/off without having to aim it at the TV. Turning on either one also automatically switches the TV to the appropriate input.
Overall, it's an OK set if you're not picky. . I was prepared to spend about 3 times more for a nice Q7, but the space I had to put it in was not quite big enough for a 65", and I didn't want to settle for a 55" For the price, can't really complain. The 3-year Mfr warranty is also a plus.

I was hoping there would be a new Chromecast this fall, but it hasn't been announced yet.

think im going to get it tomorrow.
Anyone have feedback on how they like theirs?
We were just looking at upgrading our ~32" TVs in our 3 Sunday School classrooms yesterday, so this seemed like decent deal at under $200 each. Given they have a 200x200 VESA pattern, they would mount right to our existing wall-mounts.
They would mainly be used to display PDFs, PowerPoint Presentations, Word documents, and occasionally Videos. Ideally, we could cast to them from both iPhone and Android Phones.
