You can fix this by loading the firmware on an SD card and then power on the device with that card inserted.

I have been using Wyze cams for years, V2 and V3, no issues. I could care less about the "security risks" as I'm not monitoring any sensitive areas of my home (I also don't use their cloud service, as I don't trust anyone's cloud service). It's been well documented that Wyse took action immediately when issues were found, and that article from Wired has been shown to leave that tidbit out (Curious, didn't Wyze basically abandon their V2 series because they couldn't fully promise it wouldn't have security issues?). I'd trust Wyze over Ring, for example, any day. Anyway, back on point with the camera posted here. I've seen many people complain in the forums about this specific Wyze camera as being absolute garbage. I won't bite because of that. The new indoor/outdoor V3 pan/tilt/zoom camera from Wyze on the other hand is getting a lot of praise.

I would have put it more gently, but make sure you look into the long history of this company not caring about user security. NYT/Wirecutter had an article last month.

Wyze sends many packets to Chinese IP addresses. No disclosure as to why they do this.

If you like China snooping your camera, this is it chief.

Great price. Paid $29.98 a year ago for this exact model, been using it 24/7 since then.

I'd suggest enabling two factor authentication as soon as you set it up. There's been cases of these wifi cams being "hacked", and it's usually because people use their known emails and reuse passwords.
