I will say this. The horizontal slats it comes with were not enough for my very heavy/premium mattress to have support with myself/wife (who are both pretty light) sleeping on it, as it resulted in a slight inward roll. Idk. I'm the most fickle sleeper on earth.
I ended up ordering a vertical set of boards to go with it months later and now everything is perfect.
