I have this. I love Govee. Dont know if Id get it again. Syncing it to music and other devices is awesome. But the colors aren't as clean as the pictures show.

How complicated is it syncing? And, how bright is this as a regular ol floor lamp for a dim corner? Thanks!

Super simple to sync and use. Get the app, be in bluetooth range, and you're set.
Super customizable, but you can simply press the power button to make it a basic lamp.

Regarding brightness, 1000 lumens, and it can be dimmed to whatever your preference. Its very bright. If a reading lamp gets you around 500, this gets you further in a bigger space.

I've had two die already. Read the reviews .....as many others have also. Sorry....can't recommend this product...love Govee....but this one is a fail

The Lyra version is honestly heads and tails better. Many, many more leds and color abilities/features. Think of the Lyra as the 8k resolution version of the lamp and this other one is like 720p...absolutely worth the extra cost.

Hue version is quite a bit better...but not 250$ better. Decent as long as it doesn't die on you

I have the Lyra and it's a good product. Never used the one posted here, but I imagine the Lyra - which is more expensive - is much better given the color options and LED density is reported to be better than this cheaper version.

I remember reading bad warnings about a similar product regarding the phone app being super worrisome in terms of spyware. Can anyone comment?

Govee does not make reliaable products, I bought 2 Govee outdoor LED light strips and it lasted 3 months (summer time).

I love mine and considered getting a second. Interesting to hear the Lyra version is better though, but this one works plenty well for $60, adding to the other Govee stuff I have in my living room. That said, some of the preset scenes look cool while others are choppy. I definitely don't regret my purchase though.
