I recently purchased the Acer Nitro 34" Class UWQHD Curved Gaming Monitor (ED343CUR) from Costco for $269 - any word on how this compares? seems like almost the exac same specs for 70 bucks less?

The Acer Nitro ED343CUR is 1000R
This LG 34WP60C-B is 1800R
Those are the two biggest differences I could see. Other than that, they will be extremely similar in all other specs...at least on paper... This makes the length of the Acer slightly smaller but the depth slightly bigger. The Acer does have more inputs and it has RGB effects. Not sure how much those matter to you.
The only other thing that seems good on the Acer is 3 year warranty vs 1 year warranty on the LG.
This is just my opinion, but the Acer is better for gaming and the LG is probably better as a more normal usage monitor. I prefer a more extreme curve for gaming.

Absolutely love it, can't beat that price! I don't game but it rocks for daily tasks.
Hoping for some clarifications. I have a macbook pro 14inch m1 that has a built in HDMI
To get the full benefit on this monitor (like HDR) I should get DP 1.4 or HDMI 2.0 ?
Looks like this monitor only has HDMI 2.0, so I would need to get DP 1.4 for the higher refresh rates?
