Says the passmark score is 7995. But every other passmark score for the N95 comes out to be around 5440

It seems that ACE can defy the laws of physics and "state" the N95 has a TDP of 20W when Intel specs it at 15W. So I can only assume: 1. Everything they say is a lie, 2. They overclock like crazy for an entry level processor (not designed for overclocking) limiting its warranty and lifespan. Either isn't good. I'm not to thrilled about all out lying in marketing from these companies. If nobody checks them, then we just devolve into an ancient bazaar where they buyer must beware.

As successor to the Ace Magician AMR5, the Chinese manufacturer sends the Ace Magician AM08 Pro to the starting blocks in the category of "compact gaming PCs." Not only was it visually redesigned, but the technology was also upgraded, and with the AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processor, it is now up to the current technology.

Where does it say that? I do not see it on the product page.

I have bought an Ace Magician from Amazon and it did work fine, the Ryzen 7 5800u model was fast enough to play GTA 5 on low to medium settings just fine.

I think for a cheap server they would work fine just make sure to reset Windows on these machines.

Its on one one of the images on this SD page. The third image showing the processor and the orange column.

I'm in a similar boat. The only thing I've found so far was that MoDT from Minisforum which includes a PCIE expansion slot which can fit a SATA card for 8 or so sata drives.

Thanks, I missed that. Over-volting is a common strategy to increase performance in MiniPCs, especially when the CPUs are clock locked like these. Many users will consider this a benefit. I certainly think this distinguishing feature should be more prominently mentioned. I would be surprised if the 20w Passmark jumps to 7000+, but I have seen no tests of that.

It is prominently featured on the German Amazon listing page. [amazon.de]

I see the 512GB version of the S1 is limited to 15w TDP. Perhaps the max voltage can be adjusted in bios, perhaps not.

I thought heavily about that because I have N95 (3x) which I use for Harvester cluster, but you can get an external drive bay that does that. Some support 20 Gbit/sec now or thunderbolt, but then you can get a Jonsbo that is more integrated and you just slap a mini-itx board from China in it and call it a day. In the end I bought a rack mount chenbro and threw an intel 10100 (because it has 8 threads) in there with a Z-board that has all the connectivity. I run Unraid tho, but same concept. Basic but cheap and I could upgrade to a 12 or 13 gen CPU if I needed more juice.

Does anyone happen to know what ethernet chipset is being used in this model? Would make for a good home lab box using ESXi if it has a supported chipset.

##EDIT: Found my answer by watching a Youtube video of someone opening the case up (and saw the chipset number.) For anyone who is interested, here it is: https://datasheetspdf.com/datashe...02-1G.html

I think it is safe to say these are not compatible w/ ESXi.
