EDIT: Thanks jujoh0 for pointing out that the exterior dimension is actually 22" but they are advertising this as a 20" suitcase (internal dimension) which is very misleading!!
Wdym? From The Points Guy:

The standard carry-on size for international carriers is slightly smaller than that of the U.S., measuring overall at 21.7 by 15.7 by 9 inches, including handles and wheels.

Here are the carry-on policies for economy passengers on major international carriers:

Air Canada: 21.5 by 15 by 9 inches.
British Airways: 22 by 18 by 10 inches.
Emirates: 21 by 14 by 7 inches.
Singapore Airlines: The sum of length, width and height of each piece should measure less than 45 inches.
Cathay Pacific: 22 by 14 by 9 inches.
Air New Zealand: The sum of length, width and height of each piece must measure less than 46.5 inches.
Turkish Airlines: 21 by 15 by 9 inches.
Virgin Atlantic: 22 by 14 by 9 inches.
ANA: 22 by 16 by 9 inches.
Korean Air: The total dimensions of the bag must be less than 45 inches (20 by 21 by 15 inches).
Japan Airlines: 22 by 16 by 10 inches.
La Compagnie: 21 ⅔ by 13 ¾ by 9 ⅚ inches.

Polycarbonate is the sturdier but heavier choice. So this is good if you want to keep it for longer.

So most international airlines allow about 17lb for carry on and some would weigh your bag at check in, this bag is about 7lb, so that leaves about 10lb to pack. Not saying that's not enough but there's only so much you'd fit in 10lbs if going by rules. Can't speak if this bag is on lighter side..

In my experience, having 2 wheels per corner is way more stable. I have a samsonite with single wheel per corner and it tips over constantly. So annoying.

The stability doesn't depend on the number of wheels per se. It will depend on:
  • Width (separation between the wheels) where the case contacts the ground. Primarily on the side with the handle. So if two wheels orient to make a wider base, it will be more stable. The more horizontal offset there is between the handle and wheels under the handle, the less likely it will be to tip towards the handle.
  • Diameter of the wheels. Bigger wheels will ride over bumps and curbs, whereas smaller ones could catch causing the bag to tip. The tallest bump a wheel can normally ride over is half the wheel height.

Note that you can improve stability in the first point by packing heavier objects lower (closer to the wheels), and closer to the side away from the handle (the lid of the suitcase). You want the bag's center of mass to be as low as possible, and towards the center but slightly away from the handle to offset the imbalanced torque as you push the handle.

Yeah. Most airlines require 22" or smaller. This luggage has packing dimension of 20". It's actual outer dimension is 22.5"

Should be ok but sometimes international airlines will force you to prove it fits using the size checker.
Wow you're right about the outer dimension!!!! That's crazy that they're advertising this as a 20" bag. Super misleading.

It can be a bit misleading, but it's regular practice for luggage manufacturers to refer to the interior space when they denote something like 20 inches because that's the packable space. Consumer Reports has an interesting article [consumerreports.org] about it, if you're curious to learn more.

I hope this helps,

Not sure why everyone concern about the height dimensions of this. This is exact same height as regular winfield 3 that everyone is using for years at least height wise:
I have both and Here is next to each other

Like that it's made of PC, hate that it's single wheels, and hate it even more for the misleading measurements!

... AND 2 wheels in the corners will roll easier too (i.e. spreads the load). If you have ever been at the end of a long trip with a bag that feels heavy, the better rolling bag is the winner!

Thanks, in 4 1.

Had a very similar looking suitcase from Samsonite with different wheels and it was excellent.
It was given away to a friend after 2 to 3 years of use, and never had problems with it.
