if anyone can figure out if there is a current decoder discount going on then may be able to save a little more. I looked pretty hard and couldn't find anything current, but maybe I overlooked something:

I'm sure some came back as they hired locals and there aren't many businesses in the small town of DeWitt, NE.
These pliers are more polished than anything vise grip made even prior to Rubbermaid purchasing them.
I actually worked at the original vise grip plant a couple of times as a temp when I was younger, some areas of the plant would exceed 125F and hit 90% humidity during the summer months.
They were one of the highest paying jobs in the area if you stand repetitive factory work and they took care of their employees up until they sold to China.
Sorry for the ramble 😂, I live about 20 minutes from DeWitt.

took about 2 weeks to arrive.
They are almost too nice to use.
Definitely not leaving them laying around like I do the cheapies.
You'd likely realize it already if you needed that type.

I have plastic clamps and they're obviously a letdown compared to stuff like this. I'm just trying to see where not having that flat connection from the foot that can rotate is "bad". Maybe no feet for clamping thin metal to thin metal? Is it a stronger clamp? I guess maybe the feet wouldn't work if it was two really really small things cuz they could slide off...
Are these private label USA Vise Grips? Or are they a completely different company that made them?
Will also get some c clamps for wood working I think.

Also this doesn't include the 10% tax my state charges... Shipping is $70-$400... Just how...

anyway there were out of stock when I placed the order a couple weeks ago and arrived a few days ago, so I think they're all in stock at the moment. It is the best time to pick them up bc it's easy plus you can combine shipping and save quite a pit over piecing together a set some other way.
I can't even remember the last time I paid shipping....

The no-foot style is also what you'd use to clamp tubular pieces or pipe together when they are parallel (clamped from the inner side ends), or I-beam webs, or if you need to concentrate clamp pressure on 2 thicker/heavier workpieces that have a slight 'hollow space' toward the center portion .
In welding they work more versatile and sometimes where the pad version doesn't allow (angle, spacing, lack of concentrated pressure, etc).
