I bought 6 (4 for gifts)
took about 2 weeks to arrive.

They are almost too nice to use.

Definitely not leaving them laying around like I do the cheapies.

Is there any reason to get clamps without the feet?

Numerous situ's and setups in welding.
You'd likely realize it already if you needed that type.

I'm about to order... A lot... Lol...

I have plastic clamps and they're obviously a letdown compared to stuff like this. I'm just trying to see where not having that flat connection from the foot that can rotate is "bad". Maybe no feet for clamping thin metal to thin metal? Is it a stronger clamp? I guess maybe the feet wouldn't work if it was two really really small things cuz they could slide off...

Oh why did I look at this thread. Now I'm going to want to buy all of them.

Are these private label USA Vise Grips? Or are they a completely different company that made them?
If I recall correctly, these are made by the original factory (and employees) for Vise-Grip, the factory was purchased and spun back up after Vise-Grip was bought out and all operations moved to China. Project Farm has a great review of locking pliers and I believe the Malcos come out on top

Can someone help with a set (teeth shape/sizes) locking pilers for around the house, simple crafting use?

Will also get some c clamps for wood working I think.

Can anyone comment on the reliability of this website? I've never heard of them before.

They've been around for a long time, it's a niche/enthusiast tool dealer

Also this doesn't include the 10% tax my state charges... Shipping is $70-$400... Just how...

I just dropped 200+ dollars to get a set of these before they disappear and their value starts skyrocketing bc they discontinued.

anyway there were out of stock when I placed the order a couple weeks ago and arrived a few days ago, so I think they're all in stock at the moment. It is the best time to pick them up bc it's easy plus you can combine shipping and save quite a pit over piecing together a set some other way.
"their value starts skyrocketing" don't hold your breath

That's free shipping over $200 so that's a HUGELY better deal... $70 for shipping when I'm willing to spend $400 is crazy. No way UPS charges that much for ground. Shipping went all the way to $400 too!!

I can't even remember the last time I paid shipping....

The no-foot style concentrates far more pressure to one small spot (helpful on thicker metal/workpieces), plus it can work at a far greater angle on certain setups that may have ridges or edges to prevent slipping on the workpiece. I'm not talking sheet metal or thin stock.

The no-foot style is also what you'd use to clamp tubular pieces or pipe together when they are parallel (clamped from the inner side ends), or I-beam webs, or if you need to concentrate clamp pressure on 2 thicker/heavier workpieces that have a slight 'hollow space' toward the center portion .

In welding they work more versatile and sometimes where the pad version doesn't allow (angle, spacing, lack of concentrated pressure, etc).

That's odd. Mt first order was just under $500 and shipping was $34.07 with no taxes. Total of 3 orders came to just under 4 digits and total (UPS) shipping costs combined came to $58. With them not charging tax, that alone saved me about $100.
Are you on the east coast?
