These have smoother tigher fit and finish which is pleasant on the hands...there's a hex head in the bottom of the tightening screw to do some before or after the fact adjustment on the jaw grip. These have high quality american steel, an extra rivet compared to many of the cheaper versions of this tool (stronger design and easier to use), and there isn't any slop in the movement of any parts. So when you see in store or online ads about "Irwin the Original Vice Grip Tool" do not fall for it. The tools at the above url are the original design, NOT IRWIN VERSIONS BEING SOLD NOW!!
Made in America by Malco... BUT NOW DISCONTINUED
The Malco company isn't going out of business, they're just going to shut down the production of these torque lock vice grip tools.
Don't mess around just go get the ones you are interested in or forever hold your piece. If you want your kids and grandkids to have the best version of one of the greatest hand tools ever made, it's time to buy RIGHT NOW.
If anyone can navigate that harryepstein.com site and find a current promo code/coupon that must be decoded by the mysterious epstein code wheel (modern replica on an ancient decoding wheel) then I can hook ya up as my uncle figured out how to decode it on his own, just like Alan Turing an the German Enigma machine in WW2. I was looking for a current code but wasn't able to find it at the moment

I'm sure some came back as they hired locals and there aren't many businesses in the small town of DeWitt, NE.
These pliers are more polished than anything vise grip made even prior to Rubbermaid purchasing them.
I actually worked at the original vise grip plant a couple of times as a temp when I was younger, some areas of the plant would exceed 125F and hit 90% humidity during the summer months.
They were one of the highest paying jobs in the area if you stand repetitive factory work and they took care of their employees up until they sold to China.
Sorry for the ramble 😂, I live about 20 minutes from DeWitt.

anyway there were out of stock when I placed the order a couple weeks ago and arrived a few days ago, so I think they're all in stock at the moment. It is the best time to pick them up bc it's easy plus you can combine shipping and save quite a pit over piecing together a set some other way.

Yeah, I dropped $200 plus shipping as well, and after opening them and a few uses, I'm already sorry I didn't get a few more clamps and some extra sets of pliers.
HOWEVER, if there's a coupon promo going on right now, one could get a few of these vice grip tools cheaper at acme than at harryepstein.com

Those should cover most thing I would use them for. I have a ton of others for crap work.
These are like jewelry in the toolbox.
