I have this and it's fantastic. I use it frequently on my riding mower, gorilla cart, utility trailer, and topping up the pressure on car tires. I have a compressor in my garage with a retractable reel and a digital inflator, but this is WAY easier, especially when the tire needing inflation isn't right near the garage.

If you're not in a rush, every so often DTO sells the factory blemished version of this inflator by itself for $29. Last time I bought 5 and gave them out as gifts to family members. We keep one of these in every vehicle sans the battery. Works just fine with the cigarette lighter adapter.

This is misinformation. Ridgid specifically includes a ball inflation needle and a plastic adapter to blow up pool toys and the like. It's a high-pressure low-volume pump, so it will take a long time. It also includes a Schrader to Presta adapter.

The mini jobsite blower will fill a tube up very fast. It will do an air mattress as well and includes adapters.

Too loud, gets overheated, can't blow anything up before you have to wait for it to cool.

Unbuyable at any price
ALL of these little compressors, even my expensive Viair, are loud and will overheat if pushed beyond their duty cycles.

When the vast majority of comments, reviews, and videos are very positive about a product but there are a few negative outliers, I believe that those people either have improper expectations, are using it wrong, or, maybe, got a lemon.

I agree that this is loud. I guess worth it if you need the battery. Honestly went with Rigid primarily for the life time warranty and when it breaks they'll send me a new one.

As for some have mentioned DTO... hard to time when 1. they have this on sale at a low price 2. other stuff you want to buy are in stock to save on shipping 3. they have a free/reduced shipping promo

I got this from DTO and the hand held vac which I highly recommend, for a total of $70 shipped from DTO when their shipping was $13. The inflator was $45 and vacuum $40, and everything was 30% off from that. Figured it's close enough to the $30 lowest price point for the inflator.

Would be a decent deal if complete (if charger were included).

DTO has cut back on selling Blemished tools for a long time now. They mostly do only refurbished now with a few select blems.

Send it back for repair/replacement, mine has never overheated. Just the other day I added 5-10 psi to each of my 4 large truck tires and it handled it like a champ. Yes it's loud. Yes it takes a little while, it's a small portable unit.

I have this unit and i find that after using the auto PSI mode i have to remove the hose and re-attach 3-4 times and run the auto mode again to get the correct PSI. If i use it once and then measure with a separate meter its off 1,2,3 PSI.
When i don't do the auto mode 3-4 times, my TPMS sensors all read different PSI in the morning in the garage. If i do, they are all what they should be. 33 front, 32 rear. unlike 31, 32 front, 30, 29 rear. or something like that.
I do fill at cold and tried to be consistent...

I have this and it works fine. Anyone have issues with the auto stop feature? When inflating, psi shows 20 psi higher which triggers the shutoff well below the desired psi.
I have. And I'm going to call them next time it happens. It's funny about the PSI/shutoff sometimes. It seems to depend on how the fitting is on the stem.

They need to discount the regular versions of these tools. I've already got more Rigid batteries than I know what to do with, so (ironically) that part has become the dealbreaker.

My dial broke within a year of use. Home Depot didn't help with fixing it after having it for months.

You file for the lifetime warranty with Ridgid and file the replacement with Ridgid as well. Retail stores have had limited time (30-90 days depending on store/policy) return policies for 10 years +. It's not on Home Depot to fix or replace after the return/exchange time frame.

I too bought this a few months ago at this price.
You want loud? Come listen to my old plug-in craftsman. I had to put ear muffs on for that one๐Ÿ˜‚ This isn't that bad.
I like the dial in pressure feature with auto shut off- set it start filling and walk away.
I came out to the garage last week and the SUVs tire was completely flat. I pulled the tire and patched it, then set this little pump to 33psi and walked away. Very pleased for $79+tax.

I bought and tested a few. Husky was the best at half the price @12v
