Looks like the Hilton Head Resort in South Carolina has most its amenities closed for renovations until Spring 2024

Make sure to read up on reviews for these hotels. For whatever reason (perhaps timeshares to separate areas of the property), there are several with identical names on tripadvisor which helps distribute the immense number of negative reviews across different pages, but I'd be super cautious about going to any of these. I'm sure the biggest benefit to these hotels in selling through Groupon is to ensure you have no recourse when your stay goes to shit.

Reading reviews from 2021-2023 for the Lifestyle Tropical Dominican all-inclusive should be enough to encourage people to avoid. If you're going to make the effort to fly all the way down there, I'd be damn sure not to pick a dumpster fire of a resort to stay at and have to deal with Groupon middle-manning when nothing goes as expected.

You beat me to posting a link for the reviews. There is a reason these "resorts" are cheap. And The Tropical post says 87% off. This is $80 per night, it's $92 on the resort's website. says

You are crazy if you think anyone is paying $400/night to stay at a non beachfront Wingate in Destin during the offseason. I looked out of curiosity and a room on a Saturday night would run $110, which is around the price I would expect for this hotel in the Fall. There is no deal here and the comp prices are clearly inflated. I haven't bothered to look at the others, but can ascertain that all these "deals" are scams to offload empty rooms at unpopular hotels during an unpopular time to visit these locations.

You get what you pay for. Sadly, people that chase these deals will learn the hard way.

Even if you gave me a week, free, in these places, I wouldn't go. Not worth the time or plane ticket to get there for cheap food and drinks.

Yeah it's great actually. You obviously won't be going swimming unless you're somewhere with an indoor heated pool- but all the restaurants and activities with none of the lines.

Typically a light jacket is a good idea.

Groupon Getaways is a big scam. They mark up the 'regular' price per night and then 'discount' it back to their regular rate minus a few dollars. I've used Groupon for Costa Rica and Ireland in the past, and only after the trip did my friends and I realize we were duped into using their service when we could've easily found better prices on the internet.

I am a quick drive away from Destin and do enjoy taking advantage of a cheap room during the early spring and fall. Also the restaurants tend to not price gauge you as much during the off season to encourage locals to patronize. However, the appeal of the area is the sun and sand and you don't get those warm Florida weather beach vibes. If you want that keep moving down and avoid the panhandle. However, if you want to go shopping, dining, some cool walks on the beach, and enjoy the picturesque scenery then it is a fun atmosphere for that in Mid November. That being said NOW is the time to visit. The weather is in the 70s and rooms are cheap. Also, the pools and beaches are still open. If you can make it down over the next two weeks it is my favorite time to be in Destin.
