FYI they started charging tax and fees on T-Mobile cards.
Unused/Unapplied AT&T Prepaid refill cards have no specific expiration date, and should still be good indefinitely. The 90 day timeline starts after it's applied to your account. If you go to the Payment Details page [paygonline.com] in your AT&T Prepaid account, you'll see when any balance you currently have expires.

And even if you make a mistake and a balance expires before your renew date, it's actually fixable. A balance expiration date can be extended another 90 days if you apply a new refill card. Apply a new $50 card and the expiration date will extend 90 days from the date it was applied. I actually made this mistake last year (had a balance that was set to expire before being used for renewal), and I worked around it by just applying small-value cards every few months.
I usually order six 50$ cards in 6 separate orders to get 5$ off each.

Last time Kroger offered this was last March. I guess I could have missed it?
Last one I see was April 27 - May 3. But yeah, it's been awhile.

never tried more than 6 (which covers 6 months of service for me) since they have these sales 2-3 times a year. Never had a problem with multiple orders in 2+ years

The 90-day clock starts once you add them to your AT&T account balance. Prior to that, you can sit on them as long as you like. My kid is in the $300 deal that renews in Nov. I purchased the Target cards (email) back in May. Just loaded them on my account last weekend… no issues.
Thanks for the replies. This helps a lot. I guess I will just go ahead and buy this round and not worry about Target running another special before my renewal date. I doubt we will see a better deal, at least I haven't seen one in the last year since I joined ATT.

Thanks once again.

Why does the ATT value expire AFTER you load it to your account? I feel like with Cricket I have loaded 5 or 6 months worth of credits to my account at once and they just draw down with each months bill

Since you'll be buying the $50 cards, you are looking at 90-day expiration, as stated under Specifications. Just make sure that the expiration date is AFTER your annual renewal date and you should be fine.
You don't have to apply them until you need them. The expiration is for when they are applied.

This deal always works well. But why don't they just do ten percent off for card $50 or more? I mean everyone just buys multiples of $50 in different transactions for the best deal....

Sorry, I didn't realize they did this for airtime cards. Lame.
