Best Buy messed up the product weight. It is around 5.2 lbs from HP sites as well as the review of the exact model by AMDTech YouTube Channel. The weight for this model is 5.318 lbs. I think that 5.91 lbs weight is including the 200W Charger.

Got an openbox one for ~$1100 last time and returned it the next day. Pile of turd.

1. Two M.2 slots but only the first one have heat spreader and screw. You need to hunt down a screw for the 2nd slot even if you don't care about heat spreader

2. Gimped 13900H. A lot lower Cinebench R23 score than 12700H

3. No USB-C charging while laptop is on. Only charging when laptop is off. Brilliant

4. No battery cap setting possible. Battery will always charging at 100% when plugged in

5. White letters on silver keyboard

6. It's the weight of a gaming laptop but the performance of a 3.5 lb. thin-and-light

What's the catch with the Envy line? I remember HP Envy was huge when it got its design overhaul back in 2016-2017, but it seems this line doesn't get much love in the recent years.
Is it because it's a hybrid? Nowadays no one wants a laptop that's heavier and has shorter battery life than the average officework laptop, but weaker and less optimized for heat than gaming laptops?

Not hot. The previous low of $857 was getting there. For $1100 + tax, I'd be a player for a config like this, plus 32GB + OLED. (Once you go OLED, you never go back.) I don't need or even like touch on a laptop, and I could live with the 5.3 lbs., as I would use it 99% as a desktop.

For the specs, this is a great deal.....but
1. This thing is heavy. It's got to be the heaviest 4060 laptop in the world.
2. The silver backlit keys are the worst I've ever seen. Please stop making this.

Not sure but, I won't be purchasing another HP anytime soon. Just had an Envy brick itself during a bios update just outside of warranty. Very disappointed.

That's a great question because BB has a history of equipping HPs with worse screens than same models sold elsewhere. Don't assume that the display is the same one as found elswhere.

I went OLED once on a laptop and I will never go OLED again. The backs depth is not that important on a PC but cyan/magenta shadows above and below any text, along with mosaic texture on plain white image ruins it for me, personally.

Why do they keep making silver keyboards with a white backlight font.

If they do this then the entire keys need to be light, except for the font so there's contrast.

Making terrible designs so it doesn't "Look like macbook"

Anyone know if this is 1 gig of 16 and if its soldered or is this a 2 8x8 ram configuration and one of them soldered or both removable? Dont feel like googling.
