Seems like a pretty good price.
No proprietary parts.
I'm sure somebody will break down the parts to see if you could build for less.
Never bought one built by them, only 2 units from ibuypower.

Had to do it. It comes to about $1300-1350 at current prices if you build it yourself.

The Lenovo has proprietary lower quality parts, has a 7700 processor, not the 7700X this one has, doesn't have the liquid cooling this has, only has 16gb of RAM to this one that has 32gb, only has a 512gb to the 1TB of the Skytech. The Skytech is superior in pretty much every aspect. It's not apples to apples, so the price won't be either.
EDIT: The Lenovo also only has a 500w power supply, to this Skytech's 650.

So, you have to decide what you time is worth.
And some personal satisfaction is involved, like the first time I overhauled and rebuilt a 1999 F-150 4.2 V-6 and it ran great.

Personally, I love the entire process, from finding the right deals to putting everything together. But that's not for everybody.

Yeah, your right, some just like the turn key process.
If your time is limited you just want to turn the unit on and enjoy your PC games.

Sometimes you have minimal downtime but still want expandability.

I would sell the included CPU $300 and replace with the most powerful chip on the market
AMD Ryzen 9 7950X. Would not need a new PC for the next 20 years.

Why wouldn't you wait until the end of am5 and replace it with whatever the best is from the last available for the platform?

That would be a 9950x or a 10950x, right?

7700x should be good enough for a few years.

AMDs AM5 platform will be more expandable for longer than the intel. The 7700x is the first generation for the am5 platform. AMD has "guaranteed" that they will support the am5 platform for 4 generations of chips. Intel only does 2 generations for their platforms. So this one is better than the costco deal.

Decent deal. I just built a similar spec. buy if you dont have time or could build for less with a little better performance.

My breakdown below, YMMV depending on the brand - come out to be $1290 pre-tax plus time on the build and research.

i9-12900k cpu, 32gb ram, motherboard bundle $400 - there are microcenter bundle deal, newegg bunlde deal, and also MSI bundle deal (case instead of CPU)
850w gold PSU $77
case $90
AIO 360mm $63 - thermalright brand
2tb nvme ssd gen4 $90
4070 gpu $560
window key - $10

from my experience, these prebuilds emphasize and advertise on the CPU and the GPU.... and cheapen out on everything else.

My prior recent gaming PC was a skytech. Was well put together and used quality parts, good air flow and cable management. never had any problems with it.

In this build I think the 650w power supply is on the lower end unfortunately.

In any case, will be much better than an equivalent Lenovo
