I got one for a family member and helped him install it. Definitely flimsy. I wouldn't go very heavy on it
I want to get one for myself

I was just about to suggest what you did for others buying this bench.
There are maybe three bolts that the instructions specifically call out not to overtighten. Do not listen. Tighten the hell out of these bolts. You'll find the moving parts are still able to move freely, and it completely eliminates the wobble from the bench.
I'm going to guess that a lot of the people purchasing this bench are under-tightening these bolts because of the instruction manual. Just ignore it and you'll probably find the bench is much better than expected.

For most of the bolts, yes.
There are 2 (or 3, can't remember) that tell you in bold not to overtighten, with no instructions later to tighten them up. From what I remember, it's all the bolts that grease is applied to, which would be the one that connects the backrest/beam to the main support, the bolt that connects the seat to the main support, and (I think) the one that connects the piece to adjust the seat angle.
If you follow the directions to not "overtighten" these specific bolts, the device will wobble. These bolts need to be "overtightened" (made very tight) to resolve the wobbling issue.
