Under my account I can redeem Discover points for Chipotle gift cards at 15% off, got a $90 gift card for $76.50 in points. They have other gift cards on sale as well. Assuming this offer is for everyone but not sure since I'm logged into my account.

Been waiting for something like this but was hoping for 20%... hmmmm... should I??? I'm out of Chipotle gift cards.

UPDATE: I'm holding for 20%... getting closer and closer to Black Friday deals so hopefully it will come soon.

These offers used to seem more common long ago. As a result, I would hoard my Discover Cash Back until such an offer came along.

However, these days it seems as if generous gift card bonuses had largely dried up. As a result, I typically use the maximum amount of Cash Back each month towards my monthly payment (often using the CB amount to facilitate a round number for my bank withdrawal amount).

Am I mistaken about the state of gift card promotions for Discover card?

20% discount was regular norm for discount point redemption on Chipotle gift cards.. post covid, those deals and discounts are long gone. Guess pretty much all businesses are trying to catch up those covid losses. oh yes, did i forget the inflation.!!! hmm... lets wait and see. there may be a 20% discount coming back hopefully.

I disagree with that. Most businesses made tens of thousands of dollars by getting free money from government which never needed to be paid back. Some of them didn't even have real employees but were able to meet all criteria to get free bail outs.

How are these Chipotle gift cards? I bought one from a store and it ended up with a zero-dollar value. The PIN wasn't scratched off -- but apparently Chipotle does not use the PIN when redeeming gift cards.

No you're correct - I now find the best value for me is when Airbnb goes up from 5% discount to 10%. YMMV obviously!

Jon -do you remember years ago, when Discover had a 100% bonus on Shell Gas Cards? I cleaned up my entire stash of CB, back then. Those days are long gone... :-(

Grocery stores usually have promotions for these fast casual places like: Buy $50 and get $10 store giftcard. You might check out your local stores... especially during Mother's/Father's Day, July 4th, Christmas. Gift giving times.
