The i3-1215U is superior to the i3-N305 from the similar deal a couple days ago.

Cache is arguable but 1215U has +4 MB of L3, it's significantly faster in single-threaded, a little faster in multi-threaded, and it has double the iGPU size (64 vs. 32 EUs).
I'm using a 4 GB Chromebook now. I want to go to 8 GB, but 4 GB still works.
Of course, if anybody offered upgradeable RAM in these bargain bin Chromebooks, we should jump on it. But you can only get that in an expensive Framework Chromebook AFAIK.

You also get a free 3 month subscription to an Adobe Photoshop (Web version) and GeForce Now, I guess.
They haven't even announced all the features yet, so more could be coming in 2024.
Now, their hardware requirements don't include a dedicated AI coprocessor, which are found in AMD's Phoenix and Intel's upcoming Meteor Lake chips. So why are they even doing this? It's a rebranding scheme to ensure the minimum specs needed for a good experience, and more cynically, to drive more sales. And they don't have to support this set of features on very old ChromeOS systems that are still within their support windows.
If they are slowing down adding or enabling features on regular ChromeOS, enabling them only on the "Chromebook Plus" systems instead, then it might be a good idea to board this train. Either way, it's a decent system for a reasonable price.
