Damn I have been trying to stick with one system Miluwakee but it's getting hard to beat Ryobi stuff esp for dyi and stuff I don't use that often. I guess can't be bad to stick with two systems. Batteries and my 1 gallon shop vac pick up in store today. The other tool not available today and will be end of the month. I guess that saves me a trip to return and can just call and cancel it once I get my batteries and shop vac today. Thanks op.
There are several $149 options left. I just ordered these, and then chatted HD within a few minutes, and cancelled the Blower. Only left with the $39 battery and charger kit.
I did this with the chainsaw, only 2 were left in stock and if the pickup was fulfilled I would have kept it, was on the fence, but the chainsaw was out of stock and they just fulfilled the batteries for like $39. The batteries are all I wanted so its a win, just confirming this works if they can't fulfill the full pickup order as well no return necessary not really a hack

Heads up. Twice now, HD has charged me for items I did not pick up. Watch your credit card charges and check your email. I've had to call customer service each time to get my money refunded for items never received/picked up. On one occasion, it wasn't even a "hack" situation. I simply ordered an item online, had it shipped to store, and never picked it up because I found it cheaper elsewhere. I simply let the HD item's pickup window expire, but later received notification that I picked up the item and was charged.
It might be possible that some shady employees are taking the item and marking them as picked up. It's also possible the employee made a mistake keying it in, but seems sketchy after the second time.

This happened to me as well. I assumed it was an employee stealing but clearly there is something wrong with Home Depot in general if it is so easy for employees to do it that it's a large scale problem.
If that was the case, then you wouldn't need to purchase them as a PACKAGE to get that price. Each item is not on sale, the whole package is. Honestly, I have no skin in this game so whatever helps you justify it to your conscience, go nuts.
I look at it like this. My grocery store has Oreos on sale, 2 for $6. That sale would imply you have to purchase two to get the discount, but you don't, they are quite happy to sell you 1 for $3. It is all just marketing to try to get you to spend more money, just like the HD deals with a "free" tool, that is really just discounted.

When the Grocery store has BOGO, the 2nd item is priced at $0 , so it's the same price if you buy 1 or 2 . HD can also do that if they wanted to. Buy 1 or 2 tools, same price. Both need to be returned for full refund.
They seem happy with the other concept.
