The HD stans bitching about people returning half of their legal purchase(s) really make these comments a frickin' clown show.

P.S. Stans, HD doesn't care about you personally - they're a corporation built on capitalism.

Ah, I meant something like this oiler: https://www.amazon.com/SHININGEYE...B07ZS7QX5P

I run Stihl Bio+ in all of my saws, I'm sure there are other economical options but my local hardware store is a Stihl dealer too, so they stock it. (And all my saws are Stihl, though once I get an electric that might change...No plans to buy an electric yet though, the gassers are extremely reliable, only need a few bucks in upkeep every couple of years [low use] and paid for many years ago.)
Oh, great idea. I figure hard to reach places I would use the WD40 with the straw.

My batteries ended up being about $40 and the chain saw is about $60. I had to pick up both items in store. Can I still go back in to the store to return the chain saw and get my $60 back from HD?

Yes, you can bring the chain saw back for a refund. You could have returned it when you were at the store and that's what I usually do. I pick up both this time as I like the weight and many good reviews but I don't think I will get to use it much. I have Sawzall and a 10" Pole Saw and between both I can do most of the maintenance.

Yes, it is working again. Must have been a system issue.

Just wanted to mention that I successfully returned the grease gun without any problems, completing the hack. Now that I have these batteries, I'm uncertain about which tool to get, as I already own a blower, vacuum, rotary tool, and drill set from Worx and Boche. It seems I grabbed this deal more for the excitement of the bargain than actual need. I might need some help with this habit.

No need to rush into buying Ryobi tools, take your time in finding the right tool you need.
Perhaps get an adapter to fit your existing line. I bought an adapter to convert my new Bosch batteries to fit my Ryobi AirCannon. I found the adapter on ebay for under $17 and it's great quality.
