And just to clarify my first comment: I'm not trying to say it's super dangerous or anything, it's just kind of dumb to do and will only make your sleep patterns worse than before!

I've tried teas, baths, lavender, kratom, NyQuil, sleep sounds/white noise, extraneous physical activity during the day... I won't do weed because I don't like the way it makes me feel (and it didn't help, either). Drinking would partially work, but if you build up a tolerance quickly, you become an alcoholic quickly.
At first, doctors thought I did heavy drugs. I said I wish that were the case - at least then I'd know my problem.
Insomnia sucks. Tomorrow (well, today, *hopefully*) I'll end up being asleep for 12-16 hours and some wise-ass will say 'Must be nice to sleep all day'.
