Is it now worth letting go of the grandfathered uDP for this new offering?

I though Verizon phones are auto unlocked after 60 days. Did they change it?

The part you said about payoff is true
You may be right. Hard to get solid info when searching gets you conflicting info but I do see that they support unlock requests after 60 days.

10 lines with AT&T for somewhere around $280 all taxes included. Nurse discount + auto pay is huge.

Verizon stores have become over-the-top bad when it comes to sneaking add-ons with a new line of service. We were getting a new line of service for my 12-year-old and were told they could NOT add a line without putting Walmart+ and some Google Play Credit add-ons with it. We would have to go cancel those services once we got home.
On top of that, they signed us up for some cloud back-up service that was going to renew automatically after a free month. This is all after we explicitly told them "NO ADD-ONs, NO TRIALS!". I reported the store this happened at, but I'm starting to think this is actual corporate strategy...

Ok, I made the move. My T-Mobile bill was $180 for 5 lines, $160 of that is the monthly bill and $20 paying off a phone.

I was able to get $136 for 5 lines (according to the rep, who knows if that is what it ends up actually being) with FiOS discounts and 5 new iPhone 14s. Had to chat with a rep as I could not get it to work on my own, but if this works out, it is great because I get 5 new phones and lower my monthly payment by $25.

US Mobile's Unlimited Started [usmobile.com] plan is $25/month including taxes. Includes 30GB of priority data, whereas the Verizon plan is all low priority
I read on forums that US Mobile is basically a limited data plan, because after the 30GB the connection goes to 1Mbps or less. While Verizon will give lower priority to the welcome unlimited plan during times of congestion, there is a 500GB data cap which goes down to 4Mbps.

When can unlock the phone?

Edit
60 days

When network is experiencing heavy traffic, your data may be temporarily slowed.
Similar to visible? Visible is extremely slow sometimes
Non premium data on Verizon is terrible. They are by far the worst deprioritized network out there. Visible was unusable for me as well as Verizon Prepaid.

I have too much PTSD from getting "Deals" from verizon. I've probably been back and forth with verizon 3 times for sign up deals and never once did it go smooth and I would have to constantly call back and spend hours and hours on phone to get them to fix it. And now with good verizon service to be gimmicky on cheap plans, no thanks. I've with a verizon MVNO through my cable provider and it's cheap and uses verizon towers without their CS.

As stated elsewhere, low priority Verizon data can be unusable/worthless in some places because their towers are so congested from overselling. But if you really need 500GB of data on a wireless plan, go for it I guess?

Does anyone know if I don't want to use the iPhone, can they put the service to a SIM card so I can use it on any phone or tablet?
